Thanks! How I join the fretboard and neck: Mask the the trussrod-slot with tape, put glue on the neck, spread it out evenly. Then let it dry for a bit, put the fretboard on it, clap it down. Be careful not to squeeze out the glue too much. Also do not scrape off any excess glue, you'll be pushing it into the wood and be left with stains. Tough question; I built my own machine from the ground up with features that i feel are important, which could be totally different to what you think is best. Or you might not even be looking for a diy machine. I avoided shapeoko and so on because i feel they are not stabile enough and it is belt driven. Also my machine runs a standalone RPI, has WiFi, homing switches and so on. In the end I spent less money for more features. You are so right! Well in fact, I did use "real wood", but messed that piece up somehow :-) So I'm taking my time to get everything right; from the design to CAM to discovering things like: how to do a scarf joint for the neck on my CNC. I also did research on how much play there's needed for a proper neckjoint fit, I was also asked to make a vid on how I do double sided milling and so on (all of which I already showed in my vids and blog btw). I try to cover topics I do not see covered much anywhere else, or in explained in a way even I can understand. (Eg. practical info on feeds and speeds, tips and tricks in Fusion and so on. Maybe all I do is not 'the proper way' but at least it's a starting point :-) ) And so, the 'saga' continues; I can't help it but to discover new exciting things my DIY CNC can do. Next in the making is a vid about my try on making a neck with scarf joint for the headstock (there's a sneakpeak in this vid btw), and do a new vid on headstock design in Fusion360, (which gives me better results than in my previous vid). But you are right, and I also did promise my lovely wife as well, to make this guitardesign with proper wood. So she ordered me to get some pieces in the very near future. And if I do, I'll be sure to shoot a video :-) Thank you for your support, it is appreciated!

For projecting the outline of the body to the sketch, wouldn’t it be easier to select the body itself instead of clicking all the outlines? I usually click bodies in the selection filter of the project option and then just click the body itself. By the way, where did you get the bits from? I’m asking this as a fellow Dutchman looking for a good deal on bits.

It's still there where it was before, in between making and showing :-) It is there, but not to my 'standards'... So still waiting for some time and energy to update it..
Well, of course there are updates, but it’s all in the details really, depening on the specific model. Right now I created a workflow for the neck including the fretboard, all in one go. That should give a much smoother transition between neck and fretboard. So, first routing the trussrod, then installing the rod and glueing the fretboardstock, and continuing with the rest (shaping the neck and fretboard). That should give a much smoother result. I’ve got the cam done already, just need to find the time to do it now :-)
@@Audiohotshot Also, you make very good and informative CAD modeling videos. Is it possible to make som more complete projects, tricks and tips ? Absolutley incredible tutorials!

I know very little about Fusion 360 by following Lars Christensen's tutorials, but your strategies specific to guitar building look like something you've reached with a lot of experience. But I do agree, some question might not have been answered yet in my vids; I'd love hearing some feedback in this regard, though. :-) Thank you for mentioning Udemy, I'll look into it, although I've learned all I know today from the good old The Internet and ofcourse hours of practicing... And learning everday feels like a victory, right? :-)

It's funny on my channel my biggest hit is a serie where i go on all the détails to make a guitar with very basic tools, each episode is at least 45min first i thought "it aint gonna work" and people love those and now i understand why, when you're a complete beginner those kind of vids are gold. That is the structure of the wood I'm using; it's plywood, thin layers of wood. :-)
