The AMA has never fought for any motorcycle tracks. They take your fees and do absolutely nothing with it. They literally just go around and pat each other on the back you need a different group to represent dirt bikes, motorcycles, and you also need a different group to benefit the communities because of the dirt bikes until you have that dirt bikes will always lose
Milestone, Comp Edge, Racetown, Zaca Station, Piru, AV Motoplex, State Fair, Lake Elsinore, LACR all gone in the last 5-6 years. So crazy that in socal we used to have close to 15 different tracks to choose from and now there are only 2 or 3. What a shame
I grew up in Southern California racing mostly Indian dunes, Muntz Cycle Park, Carlsbad raceway, Cycle back park And Glen Helen. Also at Anaheim in 1981 . I think the only MX track left open that I rode at in the 70’s and 80’s is Glen Helen. Pretty sad!
ya buddy, I remember back around 2007 Villopoto came to my local track E st, it was freaking rad to watch him ride, got some cool photos of him with the river behind him. Dude is a warrior, he did so much in his pro career.
It’s getting bad everywhere in all actuality. Increasing rules, regulations, lawsuits, inflation, and high real estate costs. Can’t forget some tracks getting bought out and becoming private training facilities that aren’t open to the public any longer. Depressing.
I live in phx and we have gone from 12 tracks in the phx area to 2 tracks. State isn't leading to motorsports any more and too many lawsuits from people getting injured and blaming the tracks for their lack of talent. It's BS!

It’s stunning that the manufactures don’t take more of an interest in local tracks, nowhere to ride why buy a bike. Easier to ride in a simulator than the real thing anyway, maybe that’s where it’s headed. 😢
You know what isnt dead? The SoCal GP scene. Ridership is at all time highs because you get way more seat time for your money, and you arent there all damn day to run 10 laps.
You guys need to rip a canam renegade, with full exhaust, thru the trails! 1000cc, v-twin, & 4WD! The sound echoing thru the woods & torque is pretty bada$$!
the ironic part is not only has the sport driven away so many riders because of money.. they are now (tracks) are shutting down because of lack of money.... lmfao what a world we live in
RV was boring as fuck on the podium. You could tell he hated the mic and the grind 9f the sport. The whole state isn't green and rainy. Fuck the west side of the state. It's garbage.
Greys harbor needs your help RV we need more places to ride in WA , you should make a little comeback and race a few outdoor nationals this summer I’ll bet you could get Galway in shape and finish top ten

This is why our sport is dying. It’s unbelievable to hear how ignorant a dirtbike champ like Villo is to sport quads. I have ridden both bikes and quads my whole life and followed all their major championships and pros in the 2 and 4 wheel worlds as I just understood they were the only machines that truly shared the same parts and tracks. Too many bike riders are oblivious or intentionally hateful of quads even though we are customers of all the same companies and venues. If only the bike side of our world understood this and helped quads grow as much as bikes, the entire sport would be thriving instead of struggling with brands like KTM on the verge of bankruptcy and tracks being shut down or going out of business.
@timreilly5798 wouldn't change much for me since my side of moto has been banned from most of em for the last 20 years cause dudes are crying about their ruts or it being dangerous to have us out there lol
Instead of paying millions of dollars to pro racers who dont grow the sport at all. Do like yamaha and send the bikes on tour of local track maybe with a pro racer. Go to 28 tracks one for each supercross and motocross. A day to ride and new bike chat with a pro and watch racing. That would pull a big gate fee for the local tracks and also help sell bikes better than paying Adam Cincurilo 3 million to not race and then talk about being depressed
Sounds like GH County will be taking over the camping and adding lots more... and possibly a sewer dump. The track most likely will be leased out. They are busy fulfilling RCO grant requirements. 2 of the 3 County Commissioners are new as of Nov. so hopefully they are in full support.
Love RV as a racer, but sorry....living, racing and riding here in So.CAL he's just wrong about the dirt. We may only have like 4 tracks left, but thankfully they're all actually VERY different dirt and styles. For him to say "it's the same dirt" is just naive and kind of a dick head thing to say. Perris "God dirt", sticky, holds water, the best dirt in So.CAL. Cahuilla used to be loamy and awesome, not it's more packed in and kinda like Fox...but the layout is way different. Glen Helen is nothing like the rest...so much sand and ruts, awesome. Barona Oaks is yet a different animal.
