How To Viper Cut the 2023 Chevy Colorado for 35's

- Added 1.5 wheel spacers on the Colorado and rubbed like crazy, so i decided to do the good ol' viper cut that the tacomas do. First ever done so I decided to rename the viper cut on the colorados to the downtime cut ! Looks way more aggressive ! The lower trims should have got the knoch the zr2, at4 and at4x got from the factory.

Haha not going to lie after seeing yours I had that voice in the back of my head "do the downtime cut" 🤣 I do have a product prototype I just fit on my truck for a company and I know alot of people are going to love it. Not sure when I'll be able to release it but shouldn't be long

There's a pic of my first gen circa 2009-10 with a "viper cut" at the time I called it the "zr2 cut" since zr2 s10 guys started trimming their bumpers to clear bigger tires. Then the second gens came out with the zr2 high clearance bumper we all love today. I wish it was deeper but that's what aftermarket bumpers are for.

I'm gonna say the zoomies means the mod is Corgi approved! Definitely gives the truck a meaner presence and the wheels look good with the black of the truck, I need to get off my ass and get myself a set of bronze wheels for my truck!

Yeah that’s what I was trying to avoid but oh well 🤷♂️
Also pro tip the oscillating tool is 100% the right tool but cut wide and use a flap disk or roll lock to fine tune the cut.

I was wondering since I started following you, if you would soon wish you had bought a zr2 because you are a real off roader. but I am sure you will make it comparable but keep a record of what you spend to see what the cost difference will be. I love my zr2 but it is a 2021 so I did a 2inch level lift and put 33s on it and a diff drop then ended up putting in the chevy performance ball spline half shafts then shock skids and boots on the rear shocks and I have spent a little over 62,000 all together . looks good
Yeah some days I wish I got a zr2 but I mean it’s workin out so far ! Haha I’ll soon make some video like that after suspension !

No suspension company’s have anything out yet for the new 23 refresh or I already would have 😭😭😭 or no lockers out yet also my g80 locker dose good so far tho 👍
