Thank you for the review! Pronunciation for HAUTE is easy.
In French you do not pronounce the “H”, so that leaves you with the “aute” which should be pronounced as we say in english, “OAT”. Really simple, like “oats” we eat. Drop the “H” and just say OAT ❤
It is exactly like saying “ERB”, when you are speaking about “Herb”.
Now, there are some people and there are some english speaking places where people actually pronounce that silent “H”. You have probably heard people say the “H” in “Herb” before. They say, “Hherb”, like we say if we are saying the name “Herbert”.
I think in the UK they pronounce the “H” which is silent in “Herb” or “Haute” normally.
Why call it HAUTE?? Well…Haute- is a fancy french fashion word. Very “chic”, mind you (not pronounced “CHICK”). “High fashion” in French is “haute couture”. That is the reference for the name of this wig. Haute as in haute couture. Fancy french, like “chic”

ALL of them are SUPER CUTE 😍 I wish Haute and Lia came with hand tied caps. It’s the only cap that I feel comfy in 🤷🏻♀ I just got 2 (different colors) McQueens, they will do a low baby pony also a half back. Not “too dense”. NOW you have me looking at Kristi 🫣🤣 She might be a wee bit shorter than McQueen 🤔 SO the big question is, “How many wigs do I need?” 😁
I just got Mariah by jon renau. Now, Mariah is a great looking wig. ❤

I agree with everyone else, you look fabulous in all the wigs 😊. I wanted to say a particular thank you for raising the shine issue. I have tried many different brands and find Jon Renau the worst for shine but …… love Kristi. Do they do a brunette with reasonable shine - brownie finale & fudgesicle were both ludicrously shiny even after dry shampoo, many washes, fabric softener, vinegar - nothing helped so I wouldn’t wear them!

Agh, I know. The shine can get to me, too. I have Camilla by Jon Renau in 8RH14 Mousse Cake and I am actually feeling kind of ok with it!! The subtle dimension of the ash blonde highlights help break it up a bit and I have been feeling ok about wearing that color!😍

Gosh, I’m a Blondie but that color on Haute is absolutely stunning and makes me want it even though I would normally order it in PSB. I already have Kristen in PSB and you are right it is absolutely adorable and I’ve had that wig for seven years and I’ve thrown it in the backseat of the car and lost it and brushed it out and it never stops. I don’t know why, but it still looks fabulous, and I don’t know why this is the only wig that I have never taken care of properly.

Hi Amanda - I love Haute, but I am really loving all of the Jon Renau wigs and that is mainly because of the color Mousse Cake (now just saying that word sounds so yummy - just like the color)! ❤❤❤ Hmm ... pronounce is however you like, just my opinion! Enjoy your night!

I thought I had a haute in silver grey many years ago and I loved it. I cut bangs into her BUT I don’t ever see it in grey anymore? So I don’t know what it was now but I want it again?
It doesn’t come in gray so I’m not sure which wig you had. Was it a Jon Renau wig?

Hi Darlene, Kristi is not heat friendly but you could mist the fibers with water, use non heated rollers and let it dry with the rollers in. When you take them out, you should have some wave. 😊
Oops! I used a bit too much dry shampoo to do a little freshen up on 2 of my pieces. I toned the shine factor so much that I pretty much wiped it out! Any suggestions???
I have a question. I am new to wigs. And I am definitely going for a low volume piece. My question is, do the majority of people (or do you ) find it more comfortable to wear a wig with your remaining bio hair or after you shaved it?
Hi Audrey, that’s going to be personal preference. I have been shaving what little hair I have for so long, I prefer it this way.
I am really looking for an ear to ear lace front wig with shoulder length hair. Low density. Warm shades of dark blonde like the colors you showed in this post. Thanks.
Perhaps you could look at Cameron Lite by Jon Renau. ❤ear to ear lace and sits just above shoulders.

Lia II Mono Part seems like my most perfect style (it would be a perfect wig if it were hand tied). My issue is that all of EW’s colors seem warm 😭 I need a cool color. The best color I have found so far is Shaded Iced Latte Macchiato. Any recommendations for a cool color in Lia II??

Can straight bangs be cut into haute. Which heat styler is the best to help with frizz pleas xx
Yes, you can cut bangs into it. Any hot come, flat iron or hot brush would work.

Haute ,like Haute couture. It's french. I believe like most words with the French flare pronunciation, most ppl say it wrong. It's french so think of haute Couture. Hope that helps 🤗
