One little tip: use propper tools for pressing bearings with hammer. When you punch at inside ring while the tight fitting ring is outside one - you just transfer all the impact into the balls that get dents in the rings and themselves. That is how you get square balls in bearing after a while

Amazing how someone can do so much with their hands if they set their mind to it. You have skills that are unbelievable I wish I had someone like you around to learn from.
I wish I had a bender like this one that you made from that scrap pile, plus lots of room for adjustments to get the desired shape; I am completely astonished! Subscribed!
You can convert a shop Press into a roller. It's under constant Even tension/ pressure that you can control. Just sit a down and figure out the vertical movement opposed to the horizontal.
THANKS FOR POSTING!!! Keep a piece of wood handy, to lay across your lathe-bed ways. This will prevent dinging the ways when something falls out when setting up. Also, if you'll grind a small radius on your cutting tool, you're turning your stock with, you'll find that the quality of your surface will be a lot smoother. THANKS AGAIN from Tennessee, 🇺🇸
@Jota Rider It is maddening. Was at the tip a while ago and somebody had chunked a stationary rowing machine that looked pristine. But no way I was allowed to bring it with me from the metal scrap container.
You are a smart and skilled man. Consider making a motor through springs, The principle is manual charging and self-discharging for 5 or 10 minutes and the reverse speed is 1 HP. It’s a challenge and you have a lot of experience and i think you can do it👌🏻🌹
That big sheet metal bender they had gave me flashbacks to when i worked as a machinist fabricator... There's something about using machines that huge that make you appreciate tabletop machining haha.
Wonderful to see the making of that machine. i love it too, when "metal chips are flying"... I buyed a small and simple one for two stroke pipes, but yours is great. Respekt! and regards from Germany
wowowow admire your committment to finding out the best sources of info and actually travelling and setting up a meeting! and impressed by Sweben who let you tour and took time to explain things and talk to you! :)
This is really impressive! Would be awesome if you sold plans, if you refined the design, after using it for awhile. Too bad Swebend doesn't make a small workshop sized plate bender. The best we can hope for is the 50" cheapy import that only bends up to 16ga. Anything thicker, it's big bucks and large floor footprint.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your work, you make fabrication look easy, and that is my definition for a professional, however it would be nice if you show each part in its final shape as a drawing then proceed with its fabrication the same way clickspring dose. Thanks again!
I tend to frown on 'build' videos where technology is borrowed - that said, I'm pretty certain that Sweben received more orders for their machines because this well-illustrates how difficult and expensive it is to make a quality machine that will last.
