- Can budget friendly brake pads really be any good? Is it false economy to pay less for brake pads?
In this video I take a look at the Uberbike Race Matrix brake pads. At £10.99 a set, they are definitely budget friendly. But, at that price, can they any good?
Take a look and find out.

Been using these for years. Great pads.
Had them on my cheap hardtail and Whyte S150 for 18 months or so, work great, last really well and at that price ! Many recommendations on loads of MTB FB groups.
I have them on nukeproof scout Shimano XT 4 pot breaks. Very good pads for a tenner 🔥👌🏻👍🏻
I have been using uberbike race matrix on my hardtail for last 8 months or so after several long rides mixture of weather and terrain and still plenty of life left and haven't skipped a beat so I also highly recommend them.
i've been using race matric for years on my mtb's no complaints at all, they also sell them in 4 pack sets for a good saving
Nice review Craig. It’s about time I got some new pads.
They have e-matrix ones which is improved version of race matrix. For MTB lovers, downhillers may prefer e-matrix over race matrix.
I use nothing else but Uber on my Wild FS M10 and Rise H15, cracking pads at a fraction of the cost of fancy brands but the all gear no idea crowd will always want the pads with fins and a stupid price tag........ Just because.
