      @Thug9030 Holding up perfectly fine - no signs of issues. I kept the rear cover on all year and removed the front for winter.
      Keep in mind I only drive about 8k miles/year and it is garage kept.

    Seems that a glass roof was a bad design choice to begin with then. Not only is glass heavy but the heat negates the selling argument of being able to enjoy the outside if you’re uncomfortable as hell in the summer. Steel roof = less weight = more range.

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kind of, but it does make the car more structurally sound and is a huge design feature. Also, it helps range in the winter.

      agree 100% I have spent more than 1,500 already trying to make this car interior as "normal" as possible in 110F degree weather and it is impossible, GLASS ROOF is the most stuped thing I have aver seen, maybe in Europe, Nordic Countries and North part of USA and Canada everywhere else we are been screwed especially South Texas, I already installed 3M Ceramic IR film ALL windows, roof and windshield, also JOWUA hades with the interior black shades from another TEMAI set that I purchased... the JOWUA is the one that looks the best but a LOT of sun comes thru it, I will the next step is to try these "glass stickers" and if these do n't work will have to buy the very expensive Hanssow retractable shades BUT 500 MORE GIVE ME A BREAK! More than $2,000 will be spent on this model 3 trying to reduce interior temperature, ARRRG! IM VERY UPSET!

      @TheMELTDOWN911 If I was down south, yeah, I wouldn't be happy...
      Did the ceramic tint help alot? I cheaped out and didn't get it for mine, but I'm up north. I may switch my windshield tint to ceramic, though

      @@mmark300 yes it did help but not enough this is a fish bowl ...I hate glass roof with this car, if the new one coming in 2024 does NOT have a glass roof, I will trade in this one for a 24 immediately!

      @@mmark300 I'm assuming you mean extra range in the winter when the sun heats the cabin? If so ... that is still an edge case, right? The number of days to benefit from that will be much less than the inconvenience of the cabin being too hot *and* dragging a very heavy roof compared to steel on all other days.

    Camera shows air pockets because it's sensitive to infrared and they're hotter.

    I have ordered two shades for my M3 on Amazon and sent both back because they did't fit, etc. I've pretty much given up on a quality roof shade for the M3. As far as these, I just don't see how they are going to remain stuck to the glass. The few Amazon reviews on this product are subpar.

    subscribed today, I have 3M ceramic IR window tint on every window, windshield, sunroof and compete back window, I just paid $1,400 and the car still extremely hot inside, I really like to try these shades, would they adhere to the extremely hot sunroof and part of the back window even with the 3M Ceramic IR? Thanks again

      It should stick. I have tint on my back window, not ceramic though, and the window was over 160 F and stuck fine

      Tint absorb light energies (VLT, UV, IR) and convert them to heat. Eventually the heat will radiate into the cabin. You'll feel the effect of tint while driving because the wind cools down the hot glass.
