Love them all! My fav is the picnic basket. The contrast of white and wood tone is lovely! Who else says ‘picnic basket’ like Yogi Bear in their heads?!
I have that picnic basket too. I bought it in my early 20's & now I'm 68.. I like what you did to yours. I love how you show your baby at the end. Super Cute!!
The school came out great! Id totally be using that embroidered fabric to make a purse of some sort. But I sew. Glad you saved it. I bought the magnetized steel cup at Harbor Freight. I work on my vintage sewing machines and they have teeny tiny irreplaceable screws! I used to tape them to paper to not loose them before. The cup magnets are underneath and really strong. I have a large wicker basket with handles I don’t know what to do with! It’s raw not painted.
I have been hanging on to a picnic basket waiting to figure what to do with it. You solved the outside part for me. Now It has a whole set of picnic dishes and dinnerware inside but I do not think I will use them.
Hi Julie ! I have been doing some binge watching of your videos! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Oh my.....yes...love that little stool! And what a great idea to wrap glasses with the drop cloth like that! I love it! The Picnic Basket looks so great! You are so cute with your southern accent...LOVE IT ❤️ Very talented lady!
Greetings from Sorrento BC Canada! I’m glad that I found your channel yesterday. I just love your energy and style, Julie. I’ve heard that if you add baking sofa with your paint it will appear like cement when it is dry. I haven’t tried it myself, but I thought it was a tip worth mentioning. Keep up your wonderful work!
I just brought my kids to margaritaville in between hurricanes 🤦♀️ we have been lucky it hasn't hit Morgan city head on but im nervously waiting for our turn
@@JuliesDesignsandSigns Nice that you could visit the beach. Margaritaville is just down the road from me. We will all hope for no storms too close to home😳
So very nice I found your channel. And I have just subscribed. Because all the things you give a new life, are the things I love. I did see one of your other video's there you changed a crib end into a piece for the wall, well in my little garden house (that I use for my handcrafting) I have got a crib and as I have seen what you made that was like a light going on. So thanks a lot for that. Stay healthy. And can't wait until the next video comes. Well I am living in Germany and ist so nice to get some information and ideas. ByeYASMIN.
You give me so much inspiration. I'm soooo glad I found your channel. I started making a farm style bench today to go with my table. You make me feel empowered. Thanks girl 😁
Hi Julie! My name is Julie as well:) I am a new subscriber and I’m having so much fun watching your thrift to treasure videos! I love doing these kinds of projects too and I’m getting so much inspiration🙌thank you!
Julie this is Miss Dottie I don't know if you do the ticking stripes with paint but that would look so cute on the top with like a gray and a blue or gray and a red ticking stripe on the top of the basket would look so cute I'm just saying what I like
New subscriber! I’m so glad that I have found your channel. Binge watching all your videos. I just recently started selling my thrifted finds on Marketplace. You have inspired me to start selling my DIY projects, too. I just ordered the crockery stamps you showed a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing your ideas and know how.
New subscriber and I absolutely love your work. Checking out all your videos now. Do you seal your chalk paint. When I do, I have problems with yellowing.
I usually don't, I'm dealing with small decor items so I don't bother with it. If I do seal like a tray or something that will get some wear I spray rustoleum matte enamel top coat on it
Great flips. I’m new to your channel and my question is do you sale from home or do you sale on line? I love thrifting but usually keep what I like or give it away to family. Love decor and change it out seasonally. Love the thrill of thrift.
I have to find cedar bark! I’m seriously going to put ISO on marketplace. I’ve made several book sets and those are fantastic!!!!! I really enjoy your videos, you don’t over-explain and I tend to overthink so you help me. I can’t figure out how to get these free fonts and I can’t freehand anymore 😩 can anyone help me? Thank you!!! 😊❤️😊
I trust her when she said she isn't going to get rid of it !! All it needs is drycleaning. I think it would be perfect on a stool in baby Wrynn"s room.
Love the bark on the books! In another video you said you used ivory chalk paint to paint the edges, which I can’t find right now, 😑 I do have white. Do you think I could mix a color with the white to get it to look like ivory? What color would you suggest? I’m not good with colors at all!
I would use what you have white is fine or if you want to mix colors to make ivory as well, that would work. I know, si frustrating. I haven't been able to get a lot of products I like since covid
enjoy your designs and your videos but i'm wondering about the cost of the olive tree project there is no way your spent 2 dollars because I bought the olive branch from your amazon and they were 3 for 20 dollars you used 1 that is 6.66 then the burlap piece the drop cloth piece the twine the foam piece the glass it was close to 12 dollars to make with all the stuff it's beautiful but there is not profit margin with the total cost of making and that selling price. That's the toughest part of this business is profit margins but it's beautiful
The olive branch was only $3 from Walmart. Glass .39 cent And I only used a fraction of the other materials- foam, twine, drop cloth and I tiny bit of burlap. Besides the foam, all things I had laying around.
QUESTION: in a past video you said you just keep white paint in your sprayer. I have a sprayer but find cleaning it is a pain. So when you said you keep white paint in your sprayer..do you mean you store your paint in the sprayer. Can you explain ... I would love to never have to wash the sprayer and nozzle
I just leave it in there, occasionally I clean the nozzle. I have a $20 paint sprayer from harbor freight and I decided I rather replace it as needed than clean it but I haven't had any problems. I do use my sprayer almost every day
Hi girl you answer my question about when and were you are going to be at a show. But I can’t find it. I was trying to screenshot it but I couldn’t get it. I end up shutting it down and now I cannot find it. Could you please tell me again. I think it’s in October. Thanks for your trouble

Awesome!!! 😁
I have that picnic basket too. I bought it in my early 20's & now I'm 68.. I like what you did to yours. I love how you show your baby at the end. Super Cute!!
So happy to see your solution to the white/ivory paint problem. Duh, why didn't I think of that?!
Haha. So glad I can help!

I have been hanging on to a picnic basket waiting to figure what to do with it. You solved the outside
part for me. Now It has a whole set of picnic dishes and dinnerware inside but I do not think I will use them.
Everything is so adorable.
You do have a vision. I love everything, especially the stool.
Thank you
Hi, Julie. Still loving that accent. Yeah, I hate crinkled corners on upholstery.

Awesome, good luck. If you haven't already make sure you start your own Facebook business page
Geesh... I love what you do with stuff! I need to be more methodical when thrifting. I just want all the things. 🤦♀️
Everything is so cute! Gonna try the books with pine bark. Not too sure how it will hold up😃
If you need put moldpodge on to the bark, will glue and seal at same time
@@JuliesDesignsandSigns good idea. Thanks

Its started like that, them grew into a business. I sell out my house. I love doing craft shows but with the kids I only do 1-2 a year
You didn't explain where you got the bark fppore the books.

Google, dafont. You can download free fonts. 2 of my favorite are magnolia and cookies & milk
Julie's Designs and Signs thank you!!!
Hi Julie. Wondering if u have to seal over the paint pen? Thanx.
I don't unless it's going outside
Great job! PLEASE!!! Save the needlepoint you removed from the stool. Very pricey on line and could easily be made into a pillow.
I will. It's very pretty.
I trust her when she said she isn't going to get rid of it !! All it needs is drycleaning. I think it would be perfect on a stool in baby Wrynn"s room.
Of course, I paused mid video to write the note and eight after I started, you said you would save!
Question? Did you tie the picnic sign to the basket, or hot glue it? Love it so much!!
I tied it. Just put the string thru the slats
Where did you get your staple gun and what model is it? There are several Arrow staplers. Love your ideas. Thank you
There is an Amazon link in the description. I had purchased it a our local hardware store
Hi Julie,. Great videos! What brand of paint sprayer do you use?
Rustoleum chalk paint from Walmart or Amazon. Link in the description

I found chalk paint in Wal-Mart's home improvement dept. Chalk in Spray cans also. They have been completely out in craft dept for over a month!
What is your favorite script font for signs?
Magnolia
Buttercup

Saturday October 10th. Houma terrebonne civic center. Craftin' cajuns show. Indoor (that's all I do, our weather is to crazy for outdoor show)
Maybe you did. It wasn't clear to me. I'm 74 so I can get confused pretty easily. Before I forget I thought these project where really cute.
does anyone know if drop cloth is called calico in the uk??
Maybe check the hardware store in the paint section 🤷♀️
