    Every seasoned investor out there has a solid part of their portfolio dedicated to income funds, but the average investor doesn't even know what they are. That changes today with this video.
    ______
    About us
    We're Ibrahim & Mohsin - ex-city lawyers and authors of "Halal Investing for Beginners". We've been studying investments and the traditional Islamic sciences for 13+ years. Over the year we've been published by the Financial Times, the World Economic Forum, Foreign Policy etc.
    Today we run a sharia-compliant wealth management platform that manages over $35m in assets. We make videos about investment, personal finance, careers, and entrepreneurship.
    We do this to make downtrodden communities better-off. To take people of colour, Muslims, and minorities from being among the poorest in society to the richest.

      @IFGuru for sure alhumdulilah I'm still following your advice from 5 years ago... before IFG, your advice was to invest long run on wahed (portfolio aggressive) and alhumdulilah I have been doing that since and I've currently had a 50% return! Plan is to keep doing this for the long term for either a nice early retirement... or if Allah takes me before that then there's something for family inshallah. Alhumdulilah all thanks to your advice!!! 😊

    How much zakat will I pay if I invested in the cur8 investment fund? Would it be 2.5% on the full amlunt or only a portion of it?

    • @zaidahmed9527
      @zaidahmed9527 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Of course more detail would be needed but typically in an income fund / portfolio (excl. Pension) you would pay Zakat of 2.5% annually on your original investment and your gains position at that point in time. The reason for zakah on the gains is because it's fairly liquid financial wealth. If there are losses this offsets investment Zakah is due upon.

    You should’ve been clear about how compounding over time is not the same as compound *interest*
    You ended up praising interest and making the video’s intent not clear for a lot of people.
    Essentially he’s saying that there is a halal way to compound growth your money by getting around 7% increase annually + reinvesting x% to make sure that it grows much faster.

    I saw this video after seeing your memorizing Qur'an video. Why would anyone spend so much time memorizing the Qur'an if they were just going to wage war with Allah afterwards by playing the fake money game? I guess you should have spent a little more time trying to actually understand what you were memorizing. It's kind of funny, actually. So, you're reciting about your own doom for hours and hours on a daily basis. This proves what I always suspected, the hifz thing is a complete joke if one does not take the time to study Classical Arabic as well.
