Can never forget Tuchel arriving. "I will make Chelsea a team nobody wants to play against." He did just that...
Tuchel did well, but he was the starting of our problems, played bad football, bought rubbish players and even fighting for power to control transfers when he's clearly bad at buying players, i can list you number of how, but at this point there's no need crying over spilled milk.
Tuchel did well sure but also a lot of bad.
Note that any manager stepping into Chelsea nowadays is having it much harder than Tuchel and also these new owners didn't start with a clean slate!
Roman left quite a few problems behind...perhaps because of the government involvement as well but he left dodgy transfers like Eto'o and Willian that these owners had to report and pay £10mil,a bad medical team that is responsible for our injury crisis,mercenaries like Lukaku or Kepa who are two of the worst signings ever on massive salaries that we still struggle to offload and probably only Saudi will be the way.
Aside from those two the rest were easy to offload no wonder muppets like Neville are screeching about it!

My hope is that Maresca is flexible even within the confines of his coaching philosophy and not stubborn like Sarri or married to old school methods like Poch. Hopefully, this is the end of the managerial musical chairs at our club.
Unfortunately he's not flexible, it's his way or no other, Leicester can attest to that, at a point they lost steam, they held ofd because of huge points lead they had earlier, imagine 20 points lead cut to 5 but still refusing to change, I wonder why coaches are not adaptive like Ancelloti

Not to be to negative here but to hear players prefer away games vs home games because the fans should be a big indicator of us to look in the mirror. Are some of us spoiled brat type of fans?
It's been a problem for years - I love my team but some of the fans are total assholes. If a player doesn't fire in the first two games the fans get on their back and it's almost impossible to recover.
The people that are saying that Chelsea doesn’t promote the academy players are obviously delusional. No other teams have the amount of academy players that have played for the first team regularly in the past decade. The fact that injuries prevented a number of players from getting game time in the last few seasons. But let’s just jump on the negative hatred that has been aimed towards the new owners. Maybe the toxic atmosphere and attitude towards the team over the last couple of seasons has been a major factor in the decision to leave the club.

You can only back your team when you trust the process. When you don't believe in job he is doing, how would you give your support. Even to win a game, we need fans to trust the team and back them with their support then they will have a good morale to deliver till the final whistle. Pls I want u guys in the media to convince our sporting directors to make sure they sign Desire Doue as a backup for Sterling n Mudryk then they can also secure the signature of Wesley Gassova n loan him straight to our sister club in France to get a bit more mature with European games before moving to Chelsea. Chelsea fans love buying players. You will win in the transfer window under this new management. The problem is that this would definitely affect your academy prospects getting into the first team.

Only academy players who are good enough and who wants to compete on the highest level will be there in the first team squad.

@@Lucciguccimaccifitness agreed, can I say that I live quite close to Kingstonian and watch most all academy matches, the quality is there, the team mark Robinson had season before last was dominant but due to that quality it was decided that for their development the better of them ( Webster, mothershile, solina, humphreys, moriera, Burstow, Vale, hutchinson, forfana etc.) to go out on loan which left Mark having to backfill with the U-17 players, so we had 16 year old kids competing against 20-21 year old opposition, mark himself and Neil Bath both didn't expect to pull up any trees last season.

We’ve literally handed out the 2nd most minutes to academy graduates last season and would’ve easily been 1st if Trev Reece and colwill weren’t out with long term injuries. U guys are too hyperbolic about the pathway to the 1st team for the youth players. It’s better than basically any other team in the league.
Musiala? Some kids believe they are ready. Some work some don't work out. My points is not playing them. It's identifying the stand outs to give them longer contracts. Rio is diff. Wish him all the best. We have other stars in the academy. Cobham is crazy still.
