A place with no name original version is DIFFERENT. Took me a minute to truly appreciate it. I always liked the song, but now I truly appreciate the rawness of it, the soul and perfect vocals/ background vocals, as well as the instrumentation.
The thing with the originals is that they're all demos or unfinished songs that Michael was unhappy with or wanted to revisit at some point and possibly finish, and they're all WAY better than those horrific remixed/remastered versions 😭

Most of these tracks are unfinished which shows and remastered ones are definitely leagues ahead of the original. Remastered still sounds up to date and very fresh. Most of the new audience wouldn't listen to the slow original tracks compared to remastered tracks.
