You people realize that Sergei Parajanov was ARMENIAN, NOT RUSSIAN?! The main Actress is Georgian & the rest of the actors are Armenian, & the movie is about ARMENIAN culture, NOT RUSSIAN. A LOT of DIFFERENT cultures were part of the Soviet Union, most of them were NOT Russian.
