I absolutely love this place! Went there the second week it was reopened. They had the pork chops as well, I don't see it in this video but the shoyu chicken was definitely my wife's favorite! I love food! I hope anyone reading this comment will consider going to this buffet.

The Hawaiian food connection is that Main Street Station is a Boyd's Property as well as the Fremont Hotel, and California Hotel in downtown Vegas. Boyd's has been focusing in and serving the Hawaii market for many years and I am one who appreciates their offerings. Living in Honolulu, it's less expensive to travel to Vegas on a Boyd's travel package for five nights than to visit Maui for the same time. Ridiculous but true. Love your videos. Will further comment on this video later. Going to work
Another great video Derek and Catherine! Main Street Station is the first hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas back in 2003. I ate at that buffet sometimes 3 times per day, lol! 🌺
What a lovely building that to me is the first thing I look for when dining out the food is great value and looks good so it definitely makes the green book list
Use to go every Sunday to Main Street Station in highschool with the family, great fried chicken!! Also how I miss souplantation so much, those cheese breads and chicken noodle soup got me through college for sure!!
My doctor has put me on a low carb diet. It’s working, I’ve lost 20 & my A1c is down. But watching you two enjoy dinner was so delicious. I could almost taste it. And I burst into tears at the desserts.

This looked very appealing, not only the food. Super clean stations and everything you could see from the kitchen behind the counters was also very clean. A lot of space between the tables and the buffet, as well as the mask requirement are also positive to see.

I lived in Vegas in the 1980's for about 7 years and miss it. Then the buffets and most of all the food was so inexpensive. This buffet looks pretty darn good. I just came upon your channel and love how you explain the taste of each item. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Derek, no fail, turn the chicken piece over. If you see ribs it's a breast, if not it's a thigh. Another great review! BTW, German chocolate cake has nothing to do with Germany or the the chocolate used. German was the name of the man who developed the recipe...Thank you both!

For those on a low salt diet, you would get approximately several weeks of regular salt intake during one buffet meal, as set by the Heart Association. A lot of guests seemed to be very over weight. I might suggest that the hotel locate a heart defib. kit near by.

This was a more reasonable buffet & everything looked so good. I think when they cut up the fried chicken they do it down in a lab somewhere. The only pieces you can identify are the legs & wings. It's like that no matter where you get it :) Thanks for the video !
Reminds me of the buffet on the movie Las vegas Vacation! Pre Covid, this was a ceap place to eat with ok food. Now, after Covid, the prices have increased but the food is still of low quality. As a Vegas local, I'd reccoment that you eat somewhere else.
God the memories. When I used to take mom to LV MSS was a regular place as I built my gambling cred. The buffet was known as a great bargain, with better than average food and low prices, relative to the competition. That pudding was Tapioca, it doesn’t taste like rice pudding but grows on you until it’s a fave. Mom loved the SF desserts there, always a good variety. All those sections were full in the sweets area, covid probably reduced it. Thanks for the nice memories. Did you check out, well Derek, the mens bathroom in the central area? A hunk of the Berlin Wall is behind the urinals. Also check out the 777 Brew Pub, awesome beers and food, a separate visit for sure, if it’s open. My rec is the Portobello Burger sandwich. OMG, no meat. Awesome. Glad you enjoyed. Joe

And I got really lucky and score us a reservation at Wynn Buffet for Thanksgiving dinner. Had to prepay but I had no problem with that. Hopefully one day we will run into your two. I just wounded why they do not have a box of cheap plastic gloves for everyone to put on touching all the spoons. Makes sense to me.

Main Street buffet looks good if you select some specific items, eg. ribs. beef stew and some of the Asian items.

Looks good. Usually avoid buffets downtown but this is a place i would try. And there is no such thing as good rice pudding
