- As Black Friday and the Christmas holiday approaches, we thought that we'd share our review of this AMAZING 4K Amazon FireTV that we recently purchased. With a seemingly endless amount of 4K Smart TV's on the market, determining the best television option for you and your family can be a bit of a challenge, so we hope that this review gives you solid insight on what to expect from this TV.
Whether you get the 43", 50", or 55" version of this TV, you're getting a device that has low input lag, dark blacks, a modest refresh rate, a boatload of Apps available for download, Dolby Vision HDR, and full Alexa integration (unlike non-Amazon Fire TV's). In our opinion, this is the best budget TV on the market.

Saw a lot of reviews on this TV and THIS REVIEW IS THE BEST ONE HANDS DOWN! After hearing this review, I purchased this TV (Toshiba 50 inch) over a TCL 50 inch on Amazon today and will get it on Saturday - I am so looking forward to it due to my big screen I had for about 10 years recently died on me and I been out of a big screen for about 2 months now. So now this Saturday I can go back to watching TV in my living room... Thanks to this review you took the stress out of purchasing a new big screen - I was beginning to stress but you took that away because I trust this review over the others. Last toshiba I bought was 12 years ago. It was the main tv in my house and it just went out 6 months ago. Nothing but respect for the toshiba product

TV's used to be useful for about 13 to 20 years. Those days are long gone. You need to think of a TV like a cellphone in which you switch it out every 2 to 3 years.
We have two Toshiba tv’s , a 50 inch and we just got a 32 inch for our bedroom. Both of them give great performance at a decent price. I prefer quality over good looks anytime.
Just bought this, always been a fan of the fire os and was sick of using sticks. Best tv purchase I ever made. I actually returned my Bose soundbar because the sound was amazing. The reason I purchased the soundbar was because the sound on my last TV which was a onn brand was horrible. The tv didn't even last a year. To sum this up this Toshiba fire edition is amazing
I agree the sound is pretty good compared to an old Sony,from what I hear ,the speakers are made by Onkyo.just replaced my old sony 30” for this 32” inch model for my bedroom.I’m really happy with it,image is also more than adequate for the price.good value tv.👍🏼
A huge game changer i did was go to picture and sound, go to apps&video, click custom set backlight at 80, contrast 100, brightness 0, color 5 tint 0, sharpness -25. Then advance settings dynamic backlight low, contrast low, mpeg noise reduction off, edge enhancer off and it made it bright and smooth.
I'm in the process of buying this tv and checking out some videos on it...and yours by far is the most informative and fun! Great review and demo, thx so much!! Congrats on your new additions to the family!! 😁😁

I ended up buying two, and love them!! I've had no issues at all, easy to set up and navigate, beautiful picture...and I already use Alexa, so this choice was spot on! 😉

Yo Dawson when you're pressing the voice button on your remote you don't have to say 'Alexa'. You hitting that button alone is substituted for the Alexa voice activation.
It took me a while to figure it out but if you hold the Home button you get settings for the tv
Great review, brother! The only thing causing doubt on getting a Toshiba is all the other naysayer reviews calling this set complete junk. I just don't flow with that groove. Is this Toshiba really worth it? Any chance of you doing a review of the 75" version of the Fire C350 anytime in the foreseeable future? By the way: Happy Holidays, man! Peace...🙏✌👍♐

I currently have a 32 inch Toshiba fire tv in my bedroom. I love it, had it for a year and a half now. Just recently my Vizio 50 inch went out and im replacing it with a Toshiba 50 inch fire tv.

I bought this tv in the 55 inch on Memorial Day 2021 at Best Buy and I’m completely in love with it. The Blue Rays look amazing and I find myself watching movies on it that I’ve already watched a million times before just to see what they look like on my Fire TV. I am not that computer savvy but it was so easy set up and use. I did however, purchase a pricey Samsung sound bar at Target to set up with my Toshiba and even that wasn’t hard at all to set up with this television. I absolutely love it. I do wish it came in a 65 inch though. Otherwise I would of gotten the bigger one instead.

@@TheeRobc5000 I LOVE my TCL 6-series, but Roku is just AWFUL. Everything is an ad, Apps are laggy and not well made at all, the system is clunky and near unusable at times, since I use Alexa for my Smart Home system, Fire TV is so much better.

You can also plug and format an usb stick to store apps if you run out of internal storage. I am also using usb multiplier so that I can plug external controller and keyboards that work with 2.4ghz usb dongle. You can also use Bluetooth future of this tv for Bluetooth accessories.

Toshiba makes Insigna. The Insigna TV you are talking about is the same exact TV as this one you reviewed. My understanding is the Insigna name was made for Best Buy.... I know you can buy Insigna at walmart, target, on Amazon too.... but a Best Buy manager told me the Insigna TVs they sold were all made for Best Buy.
So basically Toshiba is not a good tv since insignia is not?
@@moaqt11 You are an idiot. Toshiba has been one of the top rated TV brands for decades. Insignia is Toshiba TVs made for Best Buy. They are great TVs.
I haven't seen local TV since the mid 1990's... It would be interesting to check that out and see what the hell is going on around here.

Picked up a 75 inch 4k UHD LED toshiba for 499 today. Price went up to 699 when I got back home.

Hey bro love your video which TV manufacturer Toshiba or isignia is better in your opinion and what makes it better I want to buy one but I don't know what brand is better?
In our opinion, the Toshiba beats the Insignia version because the key specs are (slightly) better. The Toshiba is typically a few dollars more, but I believe it's worth the price difference due to it having a brighter display and lower input lag than the Insignia. Hope that helps!

I know this was ten months ago but if you haven't found out, you can control the tv using an Echo Dot. We just bought a 55" and it came with an Echo Dot. Cheers

Thinking about purchasing this TV. I have a few questions. For streaming experiences, are you able to load apk apps on this device if they run from the browser and could you add it to your time line. Especially if I want to get rid of the android streaming box?

Great review! Do you know how to make the screen saver, which is my photos, stay on indefinitely? Changing the sleep timer to 240 minutes doesn't work. It still goes black in 5 minutes. Thanks for your help.

Useless info. if you do not have the specific model and mfg date. Not helping wiothout teh MODEL NUMBER where is it? All these companies are fixing and changing these tv's constantly. A unit made 1 week may not be as good the next week. QC is a huge FACTOR. CHEAPER UNITS HAVE LOWER GRADE SCREENS. YOU CANNOT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. 2019 vs 2020 model when how?

Al_426 TCL has better display but if you want a smooth high quality rendering tv go with LG

Hi Dawson, can you please tell me the measurements between the edge of the TV and the stand? Because my TV stand is 42'' width so I wanna figure out.
I just bought the 50" size Toshiba 4k fire tv(measured diagonal) and can tell you its measurements. The entire width of the screen, including the edges, is 44" wide. The measured distance between the feet, measuring from the outside edge of one leg to the outside edge of the other leg, is 35". The legs of this tv should fit onto your 42" stand if it is retangular in shape, but may overhang out from the sides of the stand an inch or so. Hope this helps.

You need high refresh hrtz if gaming & 4k for ps5 playing. I want that plus for streaming and also smart. Cant get ruko for free content,, oled more, so glad fire is free not stick with Amazon I hope m, cuz canceling shipping service a while to save that money in a yr adds up. I hear can trust TCL not onn, insignia us ok not crazy of name. I hope it is good speaker. If was not poor a d loses or spent then I could do with limited offers on same rn. Best buy has more best I guess, but pricey or out, plus near me or delivery, or is open box no ty. Walmart not sure. I don't want to miss out. I don't know of Walmart ones. Not if you're playing on console tbh. 60hz is fine as consoles are only just recently getting a reliable 60fps. If you want crazy high refresh rates get a monitor.

I was told that although FireTV doesn't have a native media player, you can download a 3rd party app like VLC and play videos using the usb

This tv has the sorry piece of crap remote. The batteries die every 2 weeks and that’s with Duracell and energizer battery’s. So I decided to get rechargeable battery’s and they still die within a few weeks. But the worse thing about the remote that goes to the 24K Toshiba fire tv, is it stops working for a few days. I have no clue why the remote stops working. So how the heck am I suppose to control my tv. The tv isn’t that smart to control itself. Worse purchase I have bought from Amazon. Piece of shit
