Been using old house paint myself, the stuff you keep around in case you might need it, but never do. Works fine, only burns off on the comps and flash hiders. A little sanding takes satin down to matte. I put on some latex gloves, slap a few different paints on the gloves and rub the rifle down. People think it's a pro job at the range, but it only works because my the interior/exterior are brown, tan and greenish.
Degreasing and wiping down with alcohol before painting will get rid of that long-lasting tacky feeling without the baking or leaving it in a hot car step. Paint will still flake off when you train enough with it.
yours looks very very similar to mine except that mine has a pattern where i used a laundry bag and did coats with khaki through the laundry bag over everything at the end and it gives it like a safari mesh look and kind of looks like shadows from the leaves of a tree when the sun hits it. Highly recommend it and great job dude
Looks good enough to me. Mine is similar but I used more greens since that fits my AO. I used semi gloss hunter green, flat brown, flat taupe, flat forest green, and flat sage. The semi gloss green was used sparingly as it does have a sheen but that matches the leaves and grass as bright greens typically have a slight sheen. It's a great camo short of using a ghillie net.
Turned out pretty good from what I can tell. I’ve been wanting to paint one or two of my rifles but I might be a little too OCD about it. Liked the BAD lever idea too. Normally I cut the tip off or a small slit on my glove for the trigger finger.

Thanks man :) that sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll try that with my next painting
To get rid of the stickiness, you can spray clear matte fixative on it.
That doesn't do anything. But after a few days it goes away and it's not an issue
