It depends how long you keep your cards for. If you're in that low end range, and this is a big purchase for you, get the 7600 because you'll get another generation of support out of it. If this is just a budget build but you're planning to step things up in 1- 3 years max, just grab the 6650XT if there's a $50 price Gap or more
well yes and no... Back in HD7000 to Radeon 300 series, you might have thinked about getting an R9 370 2gb instead of an HD 7850, since 370 released 2 years later and it was a 2x gen later card at least that was what amd told to everybody to sell their rebranded product. Nevertheless both of these chips saw driver support up until the same date in 2022. I'm not saying that both of these GPUs are going to meet End of Service at the same time, but what i'm saying is that both gpus are being selled brand new in 2024, so you can expect at least 6 years worth of drivers if not more. Which is more than "OK" for a mid range GPU to be amortized, and furthermore, meeting End of Service won't mean the card isn't usable. Take a look at R9 380, 390 and 390x how well they still manage to do in 2024...
Good video. If I was buying a new video card and I was on a bit of a budget then I would buy a 6700xt before they are gone. The 6700xt means NO vram worries because of the 12gb.
Yes the 6700XT is a great value card! The only thing I would add though is the power supply issue. Prices for these (in my country at least) are shocking at the moment once you go higher than 550W, and that card would probably require a jump from a 500w/550w to a 600w or 650W unit. That could take your overall budget up quite a bit
With what CPU and what OS? What software? PCs are going to start needing AI processors in fact even with the new update for Win11 there's AI functionality that a user may want to use. With Win12 my understanding is it will be mandatory. So you either need AI processing in the CPU or GPU I would imagine, I don't know haven't downloaded the Win11 update yet to test. If a person is shopping for a GPU and already has a MB/CPU they want to keep for a long time the easiest way to get AI into the system is with the GPU and the 7600 has that. It's true that RDNA 2 GPUs are at great pricing right now, but with a 7600 around $250 USD on sale that's a really good deal considering EVERYTHING that it gives a user, not just raw fps in a game. It's what makes the 7600 a whole lot better than anything else from AMD either a step up or anything below it, plus the raw fps is near 6700 and that's certainly 1080p gaming. Now, if a person just doesn't CARE about AI which probably means disabling features in the Win11 update and not updating to Win12 when you have to then the 6700 XT is hard to beat when it can be found for around $300. Well, accept I can find a 6600 for $180 and a 6650 XT for about $220.

The RX6700xt is going to be this decades champion through to 2030 for budget gamers wanting a great 1440p experience hands down. There is no nvidia card in this price range and not 1 budget gamer is playing in 4k as the monitor cost alone would not suit a budget in the true meaning of the word. Squeeze those extra few bucks and grab the RX6700xt as it is going at the same price new and used which lets you know it will be a long term stand out card like the 1660 super, 1080ti and RX580 8gb back in their decade.
