I know of a young couple who went to Italy about 15 years ago for their honeymoon. When they came back to NY after their stay in Italy, they decided to move to Italy. They opened a successful agriturism business in the region of LeMarche and recently became citizens with Italian passports. My mother would say to me in Italian, volere e potere...where there is a will there is a way. So, I've decided to sell my condo in the US and move to Italy. I am now an Italian citizen through bloodline, with an Italian passport. Italy stimulates all my senses...the art, architecture, churches, food, gelato and overall way of life brings joy to my heart.❤️🇮🇹
We got our citizenship subito, in '92 ...with our young son. We've lived in Italy ever since, without respite and watched our thousands of acres of inherited land get stolen by our cousins and the commune. Not to mention they burned down our thousand year old house, in the middle of Gattico. Where there's a will, there's a way. Oh yes, and the gelato ain't that amazing.
I was born and raised in Iran and I thought waking up every morning to a horrible news and rushing through hectic sad days was normal. Until I immigrated to Italy and something inside me was healed 😌 🦋
As a newly university graduate in Seattle Washington, my dad took me for my first trip to Italy, his home country. We went to Lake Como and rented a boat just like that -I’ll never forget it.
Went to Lake Como 30 years ago. Stayed at an old hotel that they said Princess Diana stayed at. Did a small boat tour. It really is a magical, stunning place...Italian but also cosmopolitan European vibe. Feel like 1 foot in Italy & other foot in Austria/Switzerland.
@@sandrap6321Not Austria nor Switzerland, simply Northern Italy (and northern Italy is already too broad and generic as a categorization). Italy has many facets and vibes, not just one, but it is still unique, it is not inspired by any other country.
Yes! This is how I feel when I visit my family in Calabria. Walking everywhere, the sea sounds and smells, family..ah! My Zia e Zio lived in Canada for 10 years and then moved back to Calabria and they are so much happier.
I'm British and have been very happily living by the beautiful Lago Maggiore for the past 10 years. I'm also now an Italian citizen. Northern Italy is a great place to live.

I can't get over how incredible that looks. It's like a dream. Just watching your video, I can feel the misty air, smell the rain off the lake, imagine the cool breeze on my face while the waves are lapping around me. This is La Bella Vita. I was supposed to go to Como in 2020, but then the pandemic happened. And then life happened, and it's not in the cards for me at the moment. I would give so much to transport there right now. Thank you for taking us with you on your beautiful little journey. ❤

My husband brought me too Lago Di Como many years ago and we stayed in Gravedona on the north west side of the lake. Very few ferries left Gravedona so we would plan our days. I fell in love then and have returned many times and know that feeling of being at peace . I would still love to holiday there, perhaps take a small apartment near a Palazzo and live the Italian life. At least once more before I die. Greetings from Australia.
We were in Varenna 3 years ago for our son’s wedding. After the wedding we took a boat ride to Lierna for the reception. It was a trip of a lifetime and I have been longing to go back. ❤
You don't have to change your residence but if you can afford a holiday home in italy you can spend a LOT of time there. Your and especially Jessi's health is so important..... Italy has a LOT of problems but it is the clear winner when it comes to having a healthy way of life. There are not many things on earth more valuable than good health❤ Praying for you two
