      It's not his decision if the front office doesn't want it to be. They have the power to trade him whether he wants it or not.
      They need to think about the next 10 years, not just the next two. It's a business, and they should want to sell tickets. And you're not going to do that if your team is completely barren when Steph retires.

    Honestly, the Warriors had 2 years to finally trade Kuminga and strike the iron why it was hot to get value out of a player that clearly does not work for the team, they massively overvalued him and failed to get a deal done. Now it is kind of too late as Kumingas value is getting lower because of his unrealistic contract expectations, he wants a max extention, but is very far away from being that kind of player.

    • @javierlandaverde4108
      @javierlandaverde4108 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      I think you don’t get the big picture. Kuminga is 22. He will great in 2-4 seasons from now. Also his market has gone up. Guys like Franz Wagner drove his value high once he got the 200 million extension. You would be prob those guys that want Kuminga out just for him to prove you wrong on another team 2-4 seasons from now.

      @ Comparing Kuminga to Wagner is quite frankly ridiculous. Kuminga has not shown anything close to Wagners level of play, we have seen Kuminga play for 4 seasons now and it is basically still the same as his first year, sure great athleticism and impressive moments, but overall he still looks like a headless chicken on the court if he does not have the ball and i am doubtful that will ever change, not sure where you take the confidence from that he will suddenly be a great player in 2-4 years. I honestly think that Franz Wagner was a better player in his first NBA game than Kuminga is now and that is not really close. Kuminga can not shoot, can not really defend and has one of the worst BBIQs of all players in the League, watching him play drives me absolutely insane, he does something absolutely ridiculous almost every min he is on the court. Kuminga is the kind of player that looks amazing in any highlight video because of his athleticism, but as soon as you watch an actual game you are absolutely not surprised that neither the coaches nor teammates trust him on the court at all.
      I also disagree that his value increased, i actually think it decreased a lot the last season simply because of his expectation to give him a max extention and his deal looming. He will most likely get overpaid by a bad team that has not really a choice to take a gamble that they will deeply regret.

  • @LuciolaKittaj

    Honestly the issue is that Kerr is not coaching this team well. He's trying to run an offense that depends on prime Steph and Klay, and not one that takes advantage of what he has on the roster right now. There is also the eternal Warriors issue of not having a rim protecting big. But Jimmy Butler doesn't help with that. Jimmy would be a terrible mistake.
    Trading Steph would be a good move if you can get something huge, but you'd also probably need something more than just picks. If Kerr took more advantage of his current roster, I do think you'd see a return to the early season Warriors that's more sustainable though.

    The best thing to do for their future is trade Steph whether he wants out or not. He would still get you a ton of value in a trade. I'm talking 4-5 picks and some good young players. That would at least set them up for a rebuild. But I don't see the front office having the stomach to do that. Instead, they'll probably try to make a medium-sized trade that will squander some of their assets and not make them much better.
    You mentioned the possibility of Butler. But do we really think he's going to take them over the top? Imo, it would take a player closer to Giannis's level to make them a title threat again. And if a top 5 player does become available, the Warriors certainly won't have the best trade package to offer.

  • @kirkreid8652
    @kirkreid8652 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The only tough decision for the Warriors is Steve Kerr. It does not matter who is traded. Look at Steve Kerr’s history. He is fascinated with guards, a motion offense, and 3 point play. This alone is not a consistent winning combination in the NBA because it creates difficult matchups for GSW. There is no question that GSW has a talented roster. Steve Kerr has said this himself. GSW has been competitive every year until this year because Steve Kerr has been consistently playing players out of their normal positions. This is because of Steph and Draymond. When you ask Guards to play forwards, and you ask forwards to play center, you destroy the self confidence of the whole team. Every loss that GSW has lost can go back to Steve Kerr’s substitution patterns and his insistence to keep a 3 or 4 guard lineup.

    They are going to have to look at Portland, Washington, Utah, Brooklyn, Toronto and Philadelphia to be trade partners with.
    I just don't see a path with Butler going to Golden State and them being a better team.
    I think Butler will be too much of distraction for them because of his wanting a max extension.
    They would do much better if they tried to get something like Jeremi Grant and Robert Williams from Portland. I don't know if that is possible or not, but I feel like they would improve the team more woth them because Grant is a good shooter and Williams is a damn good interior defender and rim protector. I don't know if there would be interest between the two teams or not. If they can wdork the financial side out or not.

The Warriors are not in a position to really win right now, but every franchise is looking at the financial horizon with dropping ratings. • @alasdairmacdonald9838

    This might sound harsh, but Steph made this bed. People often complain about Kerr and rightly so but the team plays the way that they do as much because of Steph and Dray as Kerr. If Steph desperately wanted a different roster and to run different schemes etc then they would. Truth is they have all been just as complacent as one another which has brought them here.
    And now the decline for Steph and Dray is very much real, neither of them are good enough individually or as a unit to be building an entire team around and expect to actually win consistently.
    I don't think they will bite the bullet and trade him nor do I think he's so competitive that he will request one. It will just be more of the same for the next few years.
    For myself JK is the only reason to watch the team at this point. He's not now and may never be the star he hopes to be, but he's far more entertaining than stale Curry ball at this point.
    I followed the team closely and watched about every game either live on League Pass or a breakdown of it after the fact, but I just can't anymore, it's frankly too frustrating watching a team do the exact same things over and over again and expect different results.

    to be fair the warriors arent per say bad, The league has just caught up with them. There stats overall are rivaling their peak seasons but they arent winning as much. They have alot of issues past half time. they used to be the best 3rd and 4th quarter team ever and now they blow 30 point leads on a regular. The start of most games are amazinf and great with a large lead and then come end its reversed 115-140 loss

    No way they trade him...right? Bcuz EVERY team would trade 4 him. He fits every squad bcuz of his shooting and passing. Creativity running the offense, not a huge defensive liability. Pick your teams alpha, put him to the side. Everyone else is on the table. Every pick. Stpehs got a solid 3-4 years of awesome left. You dont want to destroy the team to get him, but your going to get back an incredible package.

    IMO they need to move on from Kerr. He is a big part of what is holding the team back.
    Front office decisions are being made with how he operates. The team has 0 players taller than 6’9” (Quinton Post 7’0” TW contract).
    Granted there have been some injuries but 14 different starters so far in 38 games.
    Kerr’s system isn’t working for Wiggins, Kuminga, and others and/or he simply can’t find minutes for them to get into rhythm gain some consistency.
    They traded for Schroeder to help take some of the scoring pressure, in a small sample size he’s playing 5 less minutes (not a great backcourt pairing), and his points have basically halved.
    Add this to Kerr’s blunders at the FIBA World Cup (acknowledge they sent a C team), and his inability to juggle the depth he had at the Olympics
    Time to move on from Kerr.

    Here is what I would do behind the scenes for season 2025-2026: Get the ole gang back together again for their version of The Last Dance. Reach out to Andre Iguodala for a role as a player assistance coach. Draymond, Kerr, and Steph should have a secret meeting with KD. Yes, I said KD. Have him come back. Also grab a veteran big man from ...oh I dunno, Europe. They must have saw some good ones at the Olympics. Hell, chat with Kay too. Get them all together and then they must pretty much live in the gym. And when next season starts - they go all the hell out! Out of the gate like a race horse. If they win it all then decide if they want to continue forward. If they don't make it to the big dance ....well it was a hell of a run and the fans will love you for it.

    Kerr, Curry, and Dray are dysfunctional atp. The trio is more of a negative to the franchise than a positive atp for their own individual reasons. Steve has been putting out poor lineups that dont benefit the team. Putting players in positions they don't belong so he can run 3-4 guard lineups. Im not sure why his ridiculous lineups have not been talked about more. Curry is still talented but is falling into a level of contentment that he should never have as an all time great. Especially considering he can still contribute to the game at a high level. If this continues it feels like he almost enables this level of mediocrity because he is too attached to the situation. He loves kerr and he loves dray. But it's time to say goodbye. Draymond is draymond I don't think much needs to be said about the level of dysfunction he can bring. But They all need to go and let this franchise try and start fresh. I'm sure curry wont like it. He wants to be a warrior for life. That's the type of guy he is. But I think trading him and finding a new identity without him is something the warriors desperately need. Hes still worth a lot. And this current team too dependent on him and his time is almost up. He needs to go, It's almost time for the warriors to find their own way. Might as well start now
