@@jasd_6 I guess your reading comprehension skills are almost as bad as my ear is at picking out notes! Just kidding. Yea I was able to figure it out. It was just hard because he has three different versions of the song and plays in a different key for each one. also, during the chorus or whatever that part is called he adds in the B string as well, I think.
@@bobbob3104 Hes playing bar chords but only picking the low E string and the G string. The chord progression looks like F#m - G#m (briefly) - A - B (briefly) - E - B for the beginning and then when he starts singing he just does F#m - A - E - B. He was just making the intro more spicey. If you learn those chords thats all the song is just in different orders depending on the part of the song. Edit: I could be wrong about some of this so don't quote me on it. Also check out this version th-cam.com/video/uK_8QqlaDqg/w-d-xo.html
I would be honored if Jack Johnson would sing soundtrack to my first children’s book
I love this acoustic and of course, I love Jack❤
I love this with my Sun❤️,too
Thank you for sharing this very beautiful acoustic version. Love it!
In this version I can hear better your voice, Jack. And a mood is super cool. Outstanding🌸🍀
Been a fan forever!! Learned how to sing pretty much from you!! Love ya man! Glad to know your still jaming
the pacing and sound feel better in this version to me
Does anyone know what picking pattern/chords he’s playing? It sounds beautiful but I don’t have a good enough ear to quite sound it out
It's just alternate picking on the E and G strings. Should be able to find the notes by listening.

Hey, man, this is a great lesson on how to play this version and the album version too, with tabs and stuff: th-cam.com/video/MBkQhSKc3-M/w-d-xo.html

this is probably a recording he did while composing the song. Quite beautiful though
