*Story 1:* Essentially, OP was the only one putting any effort into the relationship. He never really knew anything about the ex and that's exactly how she wanted it. Based on the posts, the ex doesn't really want a partner, just a FWB. She doesn't want to open up or be seen as vulnerable to anyone. So she just shuts the world out and blames everyone else. That may work in her professional life because it allows her to brute force her work and stay singularly focused on it, but when it comes to your personal life and trying to find a SO, it's gonna be a tough road to hoe. The vast majority of potential SO's aren't going to settle on being shut out and kept emotionally distant from basically every aspect of their partner's life. I mean, she couldn't even be honest about the show and already having previous plans for it. If you can't even be honest with the most mundane aspects and emotions of your life, there's no way a relationship is gonna last. My mom had similar traits to this. Everyone of her major relationships in her life failed, including the ones with her 2 sons. She always kept everyone at arms length, never really honest or open about anything. She died alone a decade ago at 52. I honestly don't miss my mom. I never really knew her. If the ex from this post continues like this, she'll likely follow a similar fate.
If you a person with common sense and basic intelligence you're not going to deal with these type of relationship it's only the desperate people who want to be in a relationship so bad who deal with this type of stuff most of the time

Story 1: the number one sign of figuring out that you are with a narcissist is if you are always "walking on eggshells." If you find that you are always trying to get to know your partner, but they don't really care to know anything about you unless it is something negative that they could use against you, they are never really caring about what you are going through, it's always about them. They will lie to you and they feel as if they are the best partner and if something is wrong, it's always somebody else's fault, because they are too perfect in their own mind and there is nothing that they would change about themselves, and when you finally strip The Narcissist mask off they will make excuses and say they want to end themselves or fake as if they are dealing with mental illnesses like depression, eating disorders, literally anything to cover up the fact that they are a narcissist. These people never change and they will absolutely destroy your life. Run like hell when you encounter these people, they are incapable of feeling love and only want you around as long as you are useful to them in some way, after that, they will discard you or act so terribly towards you that you will leave them. Narcissists are the most destructive, cold people, and incredibly dangerous as well. Run like hell and don't look back.
