This is awesome! If you fail to plan, you plan to fail 😆 knowing what your upcoming videos are allows you to reference them in your video giving people more reasons to subscribe!
Great point Liron! It also adds to your session start time because of the anticipation buildup for future (related) content. Win-win all around. Do you think planning that far in advance for a tech review channel like yours would work or would you tweak it?

Thank you so much for these amazing tips. I started my channel in 2012 and stopped in 2014. I am kick starting my channel back up now with a focus on lifestyle and motherhood. I am so excited to put into action the advice you shared! These tips really clicked! Keep up the great work :)
Hi Ania, awesome to know this inspired you! It's a great feeling to plan it all out and feel in control and know exactly what you have to do. Super empowering!!! I'm curious, what made you stop in 2014 and what's helping you restart now?
Hello Salma, back in 2014 I finished my MBA and right after that I had to move due to my husbands job. The process of looking for a job and getting well established took a lot from me. The desire to continue has always been present, the difference is that now I am doing something about it. I had my son almost a year ago and I regret not documenting more of my pregnancy and his first few months. I had such a difficult time the first few months of motherhood (breastfeeding, adjusting to motherhood, readjusting my expectations of what life would be like), and I have a deep desire to offer women in that same mind frame a sense of community and offer support. I have a video scheduled to come out today where I share 3 ways to stop "feeling alone" and I would love your feedback! I saw your interview with "video influencers" and immediately looked for your channel. You are brilliant and your advice is so helpful!
Ania, you have a great story and message to share (and you share a name with my daughter 💜). I checked out your latest video, your son is adorable! I think you should start by creating a list of topics that you really want to talk about and then try and make your title a bit more keyword-friendly so it can be found in search and get you more views. For example, include the word mom or mum or mother in your title to signify who this video is for, e.g. "new mom loneliness" ranks well on TubeBuddy.
Another great video Salma I am a new subscribe loving your content. I had plan for 3 months by instinct, hehehe, but I didn't put the outcome I wanted to achieve with each video, so thank you for sharing this great video.
Thank you for all of the information. I was watching Video Influencers, and your interview was incredible. Keep up the hard work and female empowerment!
I am a PLANNER!! But at the same time, I don't drive myself crazy or anything, I think having a plan makes things go smoother and keeps me less stressed out! 💜😀
YES, this!! I think too many people think they need to follow a plan rigidly. But really, a plan is just so you stay on track and have guideposts. There should always be room for flexibility in any plan because rarely will things go exactly according to script.
Rachael, If it helps think of it as your quarterly business plan. I find it helps with figuring out broad strokes, such as which product to focus on, what technique to apply consistently and so on. Commit to something for 90 days to see results. That's how I think it can be used.
Salma Jafri - Thanks for this video. Having a plan & strategy is foundational. Starting & taking small steps will give you momentum. Teach as you learn.. or Consume and PRODUCE as simply put. Sharing is like a boomerang with a bang... you give yet receive more that is wrapped with a bang of joy. Thanks much, Salma, for sharing your knowledge and time. Congrats on your growing channel! Saw you at Video Influencer's channel..glad to see you being interviewed by Benjie, the co-host of Sean. So happy for you! Besides, the content you shared was inspiring.. just focus & continue producing videos and not be too concerned with numbers. Wonderful! Again, thanks and all the best for you! :) - AHA - 10/24/18
Great takeaways from the interview with Benji 👍💜 I'm a bit of a stats nerd, but it's so important to not get bogged down with just numbers. After all, you're talking to real people and affecting real lives, including your own :) Starting is so crucial and having the faith to continue is essential 💜
Hi Salma, great video and information! I love your 90 day plan. I have been releasing more videos this last week and I am getting better with my editing. I found that I need to just edit the video about 95% then just stop over thinking and over editing and just release it. Hope that helps you or someone else get over the hump of content creators block. - Danny
Oh yeah Danny, definitely been there!!! There's always something to improve and editing is already so time consuming that we just need to make the decision of what is good enough to be released NOW, now another month or year from now. Love your perspective and advice, thank you so much for sharing it!
@@SalmaJafri agreed! I just got to 1k subs (adsense channel review underway). Question for you....how has your subscriber growth been with your 8.8k subs? I am wondering what to expect with my channel. With one to two videos per week. Thank you for your advice.
I've been slow but steady, and more importantly, consistent. I've uploaded 97 recorded videos and a handful of live videos in the last 2 years. So nearing the 100 mark. Will reach 10k subs in Jan 2019 (or hopefully a bit earlier). So 100 vids, 2 years, 10k. Will be making a detailed video around these stats later in the year :) Also; CONGRATS on your first 1K subs!!!!! The first 1000 is always the hardest.
@@SalmaJafri thank you for the information! That will be an awesome milestone for you to reach 10k subs. Do you find you get a pretty steady 1%-2% (of your total subs) in views on newly released videos? Just wondering what the average is?
Oh My! That’s exactly what I need, thank you Salma! Funny thing, I just started making a video plan yesterday. And I have a question; I want to make Lifestyle videos but my life ain’t “there yet” so should I start making videos along the way or wait to be more experienced before starting?
Hah! Love it when people are in sync Geoffrey :) I started teaching TH-cam before I had a successful channel (many would say I still don't). I think the way to go is to share as you learn. That way you're not necessarily preaching or coming off as an "expert", but rather as someone who's also learning and sharing along the way. What do you think?
Salma Jafri - Agree :) Awaiting for perfection will only end to nothing. I made videos on different stuffs. But most views are on my excel video which was my first video. Shall I continue making videos on different stuffs or on excel only? Please advice
Well, I would say it depends on whether or not you enjoy making videos on Excel and can do it for at least a year. If yes, then do that. The best way forward is to create content that people want but that you also enjoy creating. Otherwise you'll burn out. If you do just what you want w/o considering your audience, then you won't get as many views. So it's a balance.
