I have a 2023 F150 hybrid 4x4 Powerboost with 7.2 kw pro power. I just set up my truck for 4 down flat tow and also have a gas class A. There's a blue ox plug and play wiring kit means no wiring old school. I am using a Blue ox patriot II Portable braking system. The issue I had was constant hot 12v power. The12v power shuts off after 70 minutes in tow mode. No one has answers especially FORD, BLUE OX, forums etc. I finally went with adding a Jackery with 12v outlet. Easiest way to get power without running wire to RV. What year is your truck? Good luck.
@dogtorphil thanks, it's a 2018. Not sure if it's in the video but I just ran a jack from the battery. Rv 12v is set to charge the trucks battery. Was wondering if the hybrid was flat towable, glad to know it is.
@@xeontis Could have run a hot from rv to truck but wanted an "easier' way. Due to the electronics of the 23 hybrid, you simply can't old school run power from a battery as the truck senses very small draws and will "fault" if it senses one. But I'm impressed with the pro power option for a mere $785. It runs quite efficiently and best of all almost silently vs my 4kw gas onan on board generator.
I have noticed that the patriot II Braking system is difficult to dial in as far as force and sensitivity go. I've had two incidents where while slowing at low speed, the tires/ brakes locked up a little?
@@xeontis The real question is what's your guaranteed towing capacity (GCWR - GVWR)? I'll bet you lose most of your cargo capacity in order to stay within your GCWR.
@barrynelson440 according to the scales I'm about 800lbs under. That was coming back from a trip with empty holding tanks. I was over by about 700 when I had a trailer full of 4 wheelers and a sxs.. Oops
That's a pickup not a damn truck!!!!
