Sorry if I'm late, so much happened yesterday evening: our president announced that the corona virus has finally arrived in our country so we are now in quarantaine. Then this morning it was panic buying mostly in supermarket and drugstore.
In Hearthstone, I reached Rank 5 for the first time ever before the rank ladder revamp. So happy and proud of myself. And it was with my beloved Rogue.
I'd like to thank you to be one of the most bright and cheerful part of my day, don't change Roffle. You are the best.
This was my favorite deck of all time in HS history so far. I had never made Legend before and then did it four months in a row with the original. The best memory was killing a Jade Druid on the last turn after doing exact math on his armor gains and taking advantage of passive play, and dealing 56 for lethal. Thank you for making me want to craft this and hop into wild again.
@nigward . I mean, it's a highlander deck, it's incredibly versatile and can adapt to any meta, I'd try it for sure, seems consistent enough + it's a lot of fun

@nigward . it's an expensive deck, you also need replacement cards for when the meta changes, but we will probably get a few resources when the new expansion gets released so I'd hold my dust a little longer if I were you

Damn. Even after a Reno and free Raza healing, Pirate Warrior almost actually still won. Brutal.
Pirate warrior’s retinue was already very playable, and the new set gave them some absurd tools. Ancharr and the free 2/2 are both more powerful than they look: the former gives pirate warriors a draw tool that’s as strong as arcane intellect without the downside of giving up tempo, and as we learned with patches, even a weak free summon can be devastating in the early game. It is true that giving up a card is harsh, but the new draw tools help compensate, as does the new one drop Sky Raider. I don’t hate pirates as a tribe, but I don’t think the HS devs should have given warrior in particular even stronger pirate tools.
It is worth saying that I’m definitely a bit biased against pirate warriors (the first new expansion I played was Gadgetzan and they kept stomping me in casual) so take that opinion with a grain of salt
@@ericwallace1484 that's not why Patches is so good, though. he's good because he gets taken out of your deck just by playing a pirate, giving your deck better consistency to draw into other cards
That’s actually a slight misconception; playing a 29-card deck rather than a 30 card one has a negligible impact on draws. To illustrate this, I would compare patches to fetch lands from Magic the Gathering. To explain the gist of what those are, you just need to know that Magic has two kinds of cards: lands, which you need early but are dead draws late, and non-lands, which are the spells you win the game with by using lands. A fetch land is a land that effectively removes a land from your deck when played, and for a long time they were played for “deck-thinning” purposes, or in other words to take the lands that are now bad draws out of your deck. However, when the statistics were run, it was found that removing two or three lands from the deck didn’t matter nearly enough to make a sizable impact on the course of a match.
I know magic has decks that are twice as large, but the proportions work out between the two; removing such a small portion of the deck (~3%) won’t matter for your draws.

How does it fare against Tempo Quest Mage?
Hey Roffle, you should try this combo priest, play test subject, then radiant elemental, embalming Ritual，topsy turvy, you can have infinite value if you fast enough
I've played several versions of that combo in the past.

People look back on it fondly, but the mirror especially was usually decided by drawing cards in the right order.
I like this build except pwshield is getting nerfed and the pyro package seems suspicious without circle and healing-damage conversions

Ah yes, my boys is back after, how much, two years? Definitely stealing your list because that Twitch Roffle has some business in it.
Let me share a piece of advice, back in the days at the descent of the first Razakus priest I used to run the quartermaster (idk if I translated correctly), it should be a 5 5/4 generic epic minion with inspire "add a squire (1 mana 2/2 token) to your hand. That shit grants 14 damage straight to the enemy face if your board is clear, with no emperor ticks needed etc. Could be viable as backup/second win condition ;)

Honestly I play dragon queen alextrasta in all my Reno decks and I'll tell you it is really slow but when you get to play it against slower decks it can change the course of the game, so I think it is worth running even though in a 60 of matchups it doesn't get played
Why not run the gadgetzan version where u have cheap spell for high damage?

Raza making hero powers cost 1 is bad. Making it cost 0 is too strong. What if they made it cost 1 less? It would still be possible to make it cost 0, with a bit more work. What do you think?

Those are all pretty generally useful cards in Wild but I'd wait to see what happens with the new set and whether this deck sticks around.

I'm probably in the minority, but I despise the un-nerfing of Raza and Yogg. They are great for making highlight vids with, but are incredibly toxic to the game. Playing any sort of control is already hard enough (especially in Wild) with all of the OTK out there; these two cards are basically the death knell for the control player, unless you can armor to above 50 health whilst simultaneously applying some decent pressure. If memory serves, I have a vid from WAY back when Razakus was dominating in standard and the DK hero power did over 40 FREE dmg to both myself and minions. I have already lost several games that I was completely winning due to Yogg shenanigans', and any slower deck is pretty much an auto loss to Razukas. I will say that at least Raza Priest requires some brains to pilot well, but I really believe that once the DK is played, the hero power should cost 2, or as a half-measure cost 1.

I do think they should've also rotated power word shield out instead of nerfing it. It's useless without the draw.
I believe they thought about that and decided the nerf was a better option, probably because they know a bit more
loopy lollipop but power word shield simply won’t see play like this except with auctioneer, and I don’t think they want to encourage priest drawing their deck

It is 10000% fun to play. But against it’s hard to play around. I just remember back in the day getting salty losing to it haha. I guess if people play wild, they expect the combo. If they hate it, then they should play standard instead.
