A lot of the guys here are spot on when they offered up what sirens are heard here. I just completed a siren survey of Cushing and during it I found four kinds of sirens: FS Modulators 4016's (5 of them), FS SD-10's (4), Sentry 3V8's (4), and one FS Thunderbeam.
@@borkluchtalarm The kid I was replying to deleted his comment. He said something about him hearing a Thunderbolt in this video. I know what Thunderbolts and Thunderbeams are lol
@Naturalheals I think we are approximately 60 miles ENE from Oklahoma City. I've lived here all my life. Severe weather happens in this area at any time of the year, but most often in the early Spring. Thanks for watching. :)
I just bing mapped Cushing and so far I have comfirmed that there is a FS Modulator, A SD10 and I think a sentry at the fire station, either that or its a banshee. I will come back later and look for the Tempest because in my map there is a huge gap in the town where 1 or 2 sirens could be hiding.
What an eerie sounding siren! In my town, that was the cue to head outside and look for it. All of the neighbors would be out in their driveways or patios peering skyward, lol.
There is a stearling siren in the fire station which was not activated because on the side of the fire station there is a pole with a sentry 3v8 siren. There is a modulator nearby and a Aca banshee dual tone or Aca screamer dual tone or a Aca cyclone. Resume: the sirens activated where: Modulator, Aca dual tone siren and sentry 3v8. Sirens not activated: stearling (fire station siren).Sorry my English is not very good! :D
I grew up in Union City Oklahoma and the siren at the fire house was used for both fire calls and for tornado warnings. If you heard the long steady blast it meant get your ass to the school and get in the basement or get in the basement at your house.
@pieater53 yeah, it was pretty cool. I turned the camera straight-up at times to make sure it wasn't swirling above my head...lol The storm appeared to dissipate shortly after the siren quit sounding. We got slightly over 2 inches of rain here...the yard's like a sopping sponge...lol...so I sure am glad the mowin' got done before it hit.
hope you do not mind me asking and I should also say good friend canadiancatgreen let me use his account as TH-cam is new to me I know sounds crazy but its true I am from the US and am not from a area not far from one of the sirens and I thought the sirens meant to get inside does it actually mean to just stay outside? I heard the siren put you did not go inside right away so thats why I ask hope you dont mind
@cooliesass i'm in south louisiana. it's probably same for us too. real bad storms in the spring. though the summer produces some pretty bad 10 minute to an hour storms due to me being an hour away from the gulf.
I think I can speak for most Midwesterners in saying that we were kind of raised with these types of things, so when the sirens come on, adrenaline sort of shoots straight into your veins. You insure the safety of all the kids, then go outside to try to find a tornado ;)
It's weird, but hearing these two sirens together, its kind of sounds like a really really loud blower. I guess it has something to do with how the sounds mix.
I've never heard a tornado siren in my city. It rarely gets tornadoes but you want to be careful. One time, it was raining and hailing and I thought there was a tornado
the tornado siren by my house some how disspeared and I cant hear a tornado siren when there is a tornado. luckly, I have never seen a tornado or had one hit my house. :)
@cooliesass As I was looking closely at the power lines you zoomed in on, and noticed what could have been the funnel over Cushing. Was the shape behind the power lines actually the funnel that prompted this tornado warning?
I thik i heard a tornado siren where i live at night! It scared me so much that i couldnt fall asleep bet when i did i would check if i was still alive..
i can hear the EOWS 612s i can hear what i think might be an allertor, and maybe t-128s but im not sure, im hearing 3 or 4 different sirens in there. but all those sirens together sound really creepy
Those are excellent sirens, because you couldn't possibly confuse the sound with anything else. Those things would knock you out of bed if they went off in the middle of the night.
@cooliesass Have you seen much wild weather out there in Oklahoma, being in tornado alley and all? I've seen some wild weather around my house, and it snuck up during the day, knocking our electricity out. I was in my basement when the power went out, but I wasn't even scared! You've got to be brave to see some wild weather where you are, being about 60 miles east northeast of Oklahoma City. I believe the wild weather I experienced happened during the summer on a rainy day as I remember it.
Cushing has a creepy/epic siren ambience

@EOWS 812's SIREN PRODUCTIONS No, Cushing doesn’t have any Thunderbolts
@@AWT5020 "Thunderbeam" is a different siren.
@@borkluchtalarm The kid I was replying to deleted his comment. He said something about him hearing a Thunderbolt in this video. I know what Thunderbolts and Thunderbeams are lol
@@AWT5020 Okay.
@Judd McCray yep the siren that sounds like a leaf blower is an old and rare type of siren.
Sirens heard are dual tone Modulator, SD-10s, and a Sentry 3V8.
5V's actually. And there's an RSH-10 too
Sounds like EOWS because it gets louder and softer.
TheJakeman789 they just sound creepy to me. My city’s tornado sirens are quiet all the way, no matter if they are facing my house
TommyBNSF honestly I was just placed under a tornado warning for the first time in a year on Friday. And that’s saying something for North Texas...
@@TheJakeman789 Cushing doesn’t have EOWS, the have Modulator 4016s and that’s what is heard.
It is a modulator and there is also a sentry and a sd10 for sure. Have not found the low tone one yet
The tornado sirens sounds like music to my ears
That's a lot of different sirens all at once. Cool.
I live in oklahoma too, piedmont actually, i've had several encounters with a tornado, good thing it didn't touch down.
@trainguy2020 close, the siren that you thought was a Whelen WPS 3016 is actually a modulator. otherwise, I hear the same sirens you identified.
@Naturalheals I think we are approximately 60 miles ENE from Oklahoma City.
I've lived here all my life. Severe weather happens in this area at any time of the year, but most often in the early Spring.
Thanks for watching. :)
Those sirens sound pretty cool . A lot less pain on the ears then a federal 2001 . I have a federal just blocks from my house at its loud as heck lol

you have a mix of different tornado sirens going off one sounds like a federal signal modulator or a EOWS 612 siren
you have a mix of different sirens going off one sounds like an allertor and the other one sounds like a modulator or a EWOS 612
@pieater53 yeah, it was pretty cool.
I turned the camera straight-up at times to make sure it wasn't swirling above my head...lol
The storm appeared to dissipate shortly after the siren quit sounding.
We got slightly over 2 inches of rain here...the yard's like a sopping sponge...lol...so I sure am glad the mowin' got done before it hit.
The sirens add to the overall eerie effect of the video. Well done!
I hear a modulator and maybe some type of sentry but dont know what the other one(s) is
@martin deljusticex you are supposed to go into your shelter I live in Cushing the sirens scare me but tornadoes rarely touchdown in cushing
I'm not surprised, Since Oklahoma gets a bunch of tornadoes every so and then.
I live in wv and hardly get tornados but when when we did the sirens where the creepiest and scariest part of it.
hope you do not mind me asking and I should also say good friend canadiancatgreen let me use his account as TH-cam is new to me I know sounds crazy but its true I am from the US and am not from a area not far from one of the sirens and I thought the sirens meant to get inside does it actually mean to just stay outside? @TheThunderboltFreak but St Charles has quite a bunch of t128s and whelens
They have for sure one of each, a modulator and a inative sterling next to the sentry. Still looking
Whenever there was a really bad storm in St.Louis which is where I live, the tornado sirens went off and I had like a panic attack!#SoScary
I think i hear a
Modulator
An Aca allertor
Maybe a few t-128
I think I heard a 2001 far away
Possibly a whelen.
And also what is a synth?
@cooliesass i'm in south louisiana. it's probably same for us too. real bad storms in the spring. though the summer produces some pretty bad 10 minute to an hour storms due to me being an hour away from the gulf.
Were having bad weather this very minute and I think I hear the sirens

@Naturalheals i live in CA as well, I went to go visit my grandma april 11 thru april 21, 2011, and I got to se a few of these myself.
what are all the sirens you have in crushing
That's a great sounding mix of sirens right there!
What all am I hearing? Sounds like; Modulator, single tone Sentry, SD-10, & T-128.
It almost sounds like a updated EOWS of a whelen with a UV cart or its windy because the mod keeps getting loud then quiet
It's weird, but hearing these two sirens together, its kind of sounds like a really really loud blower. I guess it has something to do with how the sounds mix.
No EOWS, but for sure a mod, a SD10, a sentry,a sterling(Not active, on fire station next to sentry). I have not found more yet but still looking
((sirens go off)) Ah, the run-outside-with-your-camera signal . . . X-D
Is that one of the modualtors that went off earlyer this year for the F4 tornado?
Does anyone know what sirens are heard?
I've never heard a tornado siren in my city. It rarely gets tornadoes but you want to be careful. One time, it was raining and hailing and I thought there was a tornado
Right! I wonder why most everyone I know feels that way as well with these siren sounds. Maybe that's why dog's howl too.
the tornado siren by my house some how disspeared and I cant hear a tornado siren when there is a tornado. luckly, I have never seen a tornado or had one hit my house. :)
So what exactly happens once the sirens go off? What is normal procedure? To hurry inside and seek shelter?
I hear a Sentry, a 9/12 port siren, a Xt22, and a modulator
what kind of tornado was it f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 ef1 ef2 ef3 ef4 ef5?
The sound of the rain was so relaxing until those sirens went off.
@cooliesass
As I was looking closely at the power lines you zoomed in on, and noticed what could have been the funnel over Cushing. Was the shape behind the power lines actually the funnel that prompted this tornado warning?
Tornado sirens are so creepy and make the storm seem more scary than it already is.
was the first one to start up a Modulator?
Sounded like it.
WAIT WHY ARE THEY OUTSIDE IF THE ALARM IS SOUNDING!
@MrCoasterkid577 your wrong, stl got all whelen wps 2910. They got rid of all the old sirens. We didn't get any fs 2001's stl never had a 2001 either.
Those sirens just gave me chills...
I thik i heard a tornado siren where i live at night! It scared me so much that i couldnt fall asleep bet when i did i would check if i was still alive..
I'm pretty sure it's a P-50 siren. What was it?
When the sirens sound and the sky gets that dark....green....it's time to dig a hole and get in it.
i can hear the EOWS 612s i can hear what i think might be an allertor, and maybe t-128s but im not sure, im hearing 3 or 4 different sirens in there. but all those sirens together sound really creepy
@swimmercags Thank you for the nice comment!
I'm with you on the sirens 100%
This sounds very scary!

Those clouds looked way too menacing for me! Even though I didn't see an actual funnel cloud, I see why they sounded the alarms.
where is the tornado?
@acahurricane1275 st.charles and st.louis are in 2 separate counties
last night we had a 2 and a half out lighting storm
It sounds like Death of Darkness is coming
See this is how sirens are suppose to work. Not like the Oklahoma sirens. Delayed mins after touch down.
@cooliesass sounds like a mix of Modulators, Cyclones and Thunderbolts
Those are some scary sirens
one sounds like a siratone??
I know this is really old, but what type of Sirens were sounded?
great vid! do I hear an allerter in there? how many times a year do you get tornado warnings?
You can hear SD-10's, Sentry 5V's, and Modulator 4016's
music to my ears
at 1:10 i think i hear a model 5 or a Thunderbeam or a Model 7 or an STH10 or STL 10. i know the screaming G note.
This is one hell of a scary video!! It has scared the hell out of me!!!!
Those sirens sound beautiful.
If I lived in tornado alley, I wouldn't care if couldn't see it, I would get inside
Oh ya and there is some red looking old siren on top of the fire station and it is a sentry next to the fire station
wicked clouds and cool siren, i got to hear one of those last night.
i love the sound of sirens ok
why arent they inside?!
hope everything turns better
You all must live very close to those sirens! ,,,,spooky looking/sounding....eeks!
forget the sirens, wind chimes creep the hell out of me
that first starting siren sounded like an EOWS 612
So he stays outside?
The sirans Sounded like flutes going off...... Must have been incredably scary
i hate it when your woke up by them your all like whats that horrible sound and then you think well im screwed
i hear
1modulator
2 aca p10/p15s ( single tone)
maybe 2 aca p10/15 ( dual tone) or 2 allertors
and a t128
I live in cushing and when the sirens go off most of the time nothing happens bcuz the tornadoes never make it here.
It's not a 3v8 because it's single toned so is a sentry 5v
Thats so scary ant that cool theres a tornado siren on right now at my house!!!!!!
they sound like a meditation cd but still creepy
True that
I live in Cushing Oklahoma two since I was born storms are common but hardly ever tornadoes
@halverdha1 so true for the winds in fact 70+ MPH
Tornado siren: a real life reminder that shits about to get real when it starts to scream :/

sirens start
sly thank you
the sirens is loud in germany is the sirens not loud
