You can always tell when its going to be a bad storm, its a beautiful day/ morning, then it just rolls in, and you can just sence it in the air that its going to be bad.
i hear a sentry 3v8( no horns) on 167 east maple( sterling next to it ) -modulator 121 North Depot Ave -Federal model 5/7t ( the sounds constant and it doesnt fade in/out ACA allertor or p10/15
Sounds like the siren is right by your house. I still have not videoed a tornado that would have me right by a siren yet. I could hear them in the distance on the wall cloud I filmed in the OKC and Yukon area in February 2009. I'm glad you didn't get hit. I filmed a wedge tornado on the same day you filmed this.
@cooliesass Yes it's on TH-cam. It's at a distance, but I managed to get a shot on it. I hopped back in my truck and followed the storm east, and it spawned more tornadoes around the Henessey area, but I had to go to work, so I missed out on the evening tornadoes.
I saw on the news today that Stillwater did get hit by a tornado, i think a f1 or 2, it flew someones trailer home to bits. You were on the south side of the storm so you were pretty close to the tornadic part to the storm, Luckly the storms didn't have the upper level dynamics the storms had on the 10th or it would have been a lot worst.
In Nebraska during tornado season, if we get skies like this we try to see where the tornado is if it's close by. Darkness like this daytime is ominous. Even though the video is old, it's still good for learning to observe stormy weather even if no tornado pops out of the sky.
y'all must live on the border of several counties. or just have several different sirens close by. it sounds like you have mutliple siren types going off at once.
Wow those sirens are very creepy when they are going off. Those clouds look scary too. And also those wind chimes right before the sirens go off just gives off a creepy vibe.
That would probably would have been very new for your fellow Aussie friend, cause on the rare occasion (I think they are becoming a little more frequent but not by a lot) we do get a tornado it's not as bad and we get no warning so we're not used to them sirens haha
12 years and no one answered, pathetic. In this video a Federal modulator then a few seconds later a sentry 5v then the rest are SD10's if I'm not mistaken
oh shoot i had a dream a bout this a long time ago it was very scary i was thinking that i was in oklahoma when i saw a tornado passed by and the sirens went off i had a bad dream a bout this one time i think it was a cuople of years a go super scary
Mtthyman is right Just a few years ago, I was coming home in partly cloudy skies then all of a sudden the tornado sirens get activated,I was like WTF,turns out that we were on the edge of a tornado warned zone and it was spotted like 30 miles to our southwest.
It was in late afternoon of a beautiful sunny day when the storm took over, then it turned dark as night for maybe 30 minutes or so until the storm moved on to the East...then the sun was shining bright again.
For the comments about how there are too many sirens.... Really?... so if u lived in our area you would complain? and since u don't, its not ur concern... they help save lives. I am grateful to them.
@cooliesass no - and neither does living in oklahoma. Or standing outside waiting for a tornado to touch down... You can fix a lot of things but you cant fix stupid.

Now that's how a warning siren should sound. Hey great video by the way.
Beautiful video the color of the sky is really frightening in more with sirens and carillon it is impressive

+cooliesass Well at least i am not the only one who thought that too lol :3

it could be either a federal 5/7t or a dual tone screamer

The sirens sounds like music :)

For the comments about how there are too many sirens.... Really?... so if u lived in our area you would complain? and since u don't, its not ur concern... they help save lives. I am grateful to them.
I hear a FS modulator, ACA P50, FS 3T22, and a whelen vortex.
Probably 4 sirens
But then again, people track these things.... And if it gets too close, go inside.
i hear wind chimes, they sound beautiful. sadly, they dont go well with the seting of this vid
Come to Australia! Tornados are pretty much non-existent here.
