Jay Palfrey Come here...it swear it’s hot every single day!!! I went bodyboarding on Christmas Day ‘cause it was 27 deg C here! I love being born and raised in Hawai’i...but it’s entirely too hot sometimes. A winter reprieve would be nice from time to time. Hehe.

Yep depending on which part of this island you are at, you are gonna get sun or rain. Hilo is known for raining at random times and kona side is more sunny, hot weather. Well right now it's rainy season though just in time for spring so you might wanna stay indoors or you can drive around the entire island. Definently check out Mauna Kea, visit Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, cruise down Keaukaha, learn about the hawaiian culture, or horseback ride through Waipi'o valley... if you came in April there'd be The Merrie Monarch Festival... Man I can't wait for the next vlog, it's one thing to watch traveling vlogs exploring foreign countries and it's another when it's your own island! Wishing you a safe journey and a relaxing vacation while your visiting! 😍🥺💙

We’re not a country...but we definitely are VERY different from the other 49 states. 😁 I was born and raised in Honolulu, on O’ahu...but my dad’s from Kapa’a town on Kaua’i and my mom’s family is from Koloa town, also on Kaua’i. Ah, you guys are in Kona...it’s a very touristy city but also very small and quaint. I’m glad you guys got a pick up truck...a lot of drive trucks here. Hehe. The next time you guys go to the Big Island, fly into Hilo...it’s a lot less touristy and everyone is sooooo nice. The only thing is that it rains a lot more in Hilo...but that also means that it’s a lot cooler. 😁
LOL. Yes, Mauna Kea is almost 14,000 feet high...so it snows up there. My friends in Hilo sometimes go snowboarding in the morning and then go surfing or fishing in the afternoon.
My favorite travel youtubers, have a wonderful stay in Hawaii! I love that place and we are hoping we could go back again and again. 🥰🥰🥰

Omg I recognise that airport @5:16. We went there last year. From Melbourne btw. We went to Kona and it was so nice but genuinely my favourite thing about Kona was drinking the Acai Bowls. I think the place was called Basik Cafe or something

Aloha guys :) Jess you are NOT a hot mess. Hot maybe but not a mess :) Carrying a child, major jetlag happening, having effortlessly scaled a mountain in Fiji...generally going about like it's nobody's business..just remarkable! In other news.. you may have heard...ALL THE FIRES in your home country have been declared extinguished. They started in early July last year. So that is awesome. But of course, there are still tough times ahead in the recovery.

Highly recommend going to the southern most point of the big island to the green sand beach. Then hit up volcanoes national park. Drive to the top of the island as well.. bring sweaters and jackets! Its pretty cold up there.

Big Island is the best! Highly recommend Scandinavian Shave Ice as the best shave ice on the island. Also if you like coffee there is coffee tasting for the very unique style of beans.

Been to Kona, if you guys are still there you gotta do the boat tour to the lava volcano, you'll see lava dripping into the ocean.
So jealous. Booked to go but it was crazy expensive to do what we wanted, so changed to Disney World instead.

When I went to Hawaii our rental car was meant to be a Volkswagen but it was a tuned dodge hellcat
Went kona way back in he 90s ( '95 / '98 ) Amazig mindblowing Nature !!! Hawaiin Culture of Aloha is Beautiful !!! Enjoy !!! A big high five to the Goddess Pele and u must swing by the " City of Refuge " a sacred polynesian site on the big island and the orchids of hilo on the other side of the Big island!!!

Aloha! Hawaii (more specifically, Honolulu) was my home for 6 years from 2007 to 2013. Welcome to Hawaii! Are you guys still in the Big Island by the time we saw this video? If so are you guys planning to go to Kilauea Volcanoes National Park? I heard the Lava activities are down considerably now compare to when I was in Hawaii, but please be very careful about the air near active volcanic vents, it is not good for pregnant woman.
