This video is purely based on my opinion and others opinions, I did get others to share their opinion about this list. I hope there are no major disagreements in the comments or anywhere else. I just made this video mainly for fun.

They honestly massacred the katana, although i dont blame rolve for nerfing it, i remember seeing people getting massive killstreaks with this weapon left and right, so it was probably best it got nerfed. Still would be nice to see them maybe revamp the katana in a later update tho
The damage vulnerability is already bad, and then you get almost no health on kill. It’s unusable right now
@@Grimmmmy-boy quite literally the only kills you'll get with the katana is on clueless players, or if you manage to ambush your opponent
also, i'm still wondering why the fuck trooper still gets 100 health back on kill with katana, like...why???
@@Hatterorsmthtrooper didn’t have any balance issues with the katana so it would just be making the outclassed weapon worse, like seriously when do you see a trooper running the katana instead of the escape plan or market gardener?

idk if they have this in tc2, but in tf2 the battle axe had one thing all the other swordsndidnt have. "random crits" the more damage done with the axe, the better the chance of crits. so it would be op af in tf2.
The battle axe is the worst for actual demo knight but it’s really good for hybrid knights who mainly use there grenade launcher because it has no downsides when it’s unequipped

something that isn't mentioned about the battle axe is that it can one shot light classes if you're using a shield. combined with the 50 damage from an unboosted shield bash, the 78 damage adds up to do 128 damage. this alone makes it one of the better melee picks for anni, it is nowhere near the worst of his choices.
I love the video though, the edits and comparisons are great but the battle axe was the only one I really heavily disagreed with.
oh yeah forgot to mention this in the original comment but since the initial hit does 128 damage with a shield bash you can also 2 shot troopers, pretty useful but a little situational
finally, a video NOT sleeping on spartan savior. ive been using it for so long and ive only seen like 4 other demoknights using it. ITS LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVER.
As one of 4 spartan saviour mains, i appreciate that people finally recognise the beaty of this weapon, because it has no downsides on demoknight
Katana would have been A tier if they didn't nerf it (It was a good idea they did nerf it)
Black Death (Formerly called Soulsucker/Called "Eyelander" in Pre-Haul) would have been a S tier for me if it was pre 2019 TC2, where it would shred people like it was nothing.
Overall, I gotta say that this tier is like 9.7/10, it could be better but, I respect the effort that was put in this video and the time it took

Just use flag axe with basher shield, it removes the bullet damage debuff and gives u 5% bullet resistance. Pair it with squire boots and ur fast AF and can catch up to anyone that isn't a flanker
I’ve learned to love the breakpoints in damage with the Battle Axe. I pair it with the Ragin’ Bull. I can get devastating crit damage while still retaining the ability to trimp. The slower movement speed can be played around by good map positioning and knowledge.
Spartan Savior + Tide Turner still best hybridknight loadout.
I’m just getting back into watching TC2 Videos, and this is what I see.
“Battle Axe is F tier”

Battle axe + Tide turner + Squire boots = -5% movement speed, +25 max hp, +50% charge refill on kill
Stats:
Flanker, Mechanic, Marksman, Agent: 1 Shield Impact, 1 Swing (or just 2 Swings)
Doctor, Arsonist, Annihilator, Trooper: 1 Shield Bash, 2 Swings (or just 3 Swings)
Brute: 1 Shield Bash, 4 Swings (or just 4 Swings)
Battle axe + Galdiators guard + Squire boots = -5% movement speed, +25 max hp, +25% charge refill on kill, +25% charge recharge rate, +70% shield charge impact dmg
Stats:
Flanker, Mechanic, Marksman, Agent, Doctor: 1 Shield Bash, 1 Swing
Arsonist, Annihilator, Trooper: 1 Shield Bash, 2 Swings
Brute: 1 Shield Bash, 3 Swings
Damage needed is based off of base hp and this is assuming you shield bash (makes a difference with gladiators guard when changing the first swing with a shield bash) so Battle Axe by itself isnt so great but it can do so much better.

I agree that the battle axe base damage(78) is actually pretty bad but it's crits are devastating so you can pair this with the raging bull and one shot troopers increasing your chance of survival after killing a trooper without being blasted with 112 damage in the face. I like to use this weapon in vsbosses because of the same reason.
Side note a crit hit+ normal hit can kill 300 health brutes so that's something I guess
well, battle axe is good when you pair it with the boots its 20 + damage with no down side
I am demokight tc2 and the elegant blade is for me the best because you can fly whit it (if you know the right place and practice) and flank the red team and my favorite map for that is harvest have literally 8 ramps , you can fly

katana in my opinion is A tier since if you use chargin' targe with it it basically negates the effect

I really miss the no self damage on hit stat on the shock and awe, and I have no idea why did they removed, it wasn't even that strong

the shock and awe is definetly the worse melee weapon bellow the battle axe since even when propelled, it cant even 1 shot an engineer
it has very low pottentional
combine shock and awe with ragin bull and it gets 10x better
I can understand the Spartan Savior, but in my opinion it’s kind of hard to use because it takes up the whole bottom part of the screen.

shields SUCK use stickies and the shock & awe will instantly become better
I used to use stickies but got bored of them and used shields
@@typicaldumbism6653 true, shields are usually more fun but that's the meta and i hate the meta and using stickies automatically removes like half the anni melees from your choices so some melees become better
