Won't hear me complaining. From what I hear the guy is a really good dude, so he will fit in well here. Welcome to Buffalo Amari. Love it. Smart move too. He's on a team with increased SB potential right now, just based on how his performance will affect (lift) everyone else's game, in this receiving room that realllly needs to get their chemistry. Adding Amari now is perfect. We can rebuild chemistry starting next week, and hopefully be running smooth in the weeks ahead. Great move...

Why is that stupid. They do that do keep cap space flexible to rollover into ensuing seasons and in case they wanna be aggressive in acquiring any players. Eagles do the same thing

    • @Lovemate5571
      @Lovemate5571 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

What you call "stupid" is from a business standpoint really the only way to garner anything of value for a player that was in his contract season anyway.
The Browns would have gotten NOTHING at all, had they just kept him on the roster and played out this already lost season with him.
Adding to that they also knew that any serious contenter with an injury/glaring need at WR most likely would not have had the cap space for his 19 million salary.
      Like the Bills.
So even if teams were interested they simply wouldn't be able to afford him in terms of salary cap space.
Therefore the Browns made the ONLY REASONABLE decision that converting his base salary into up front paid bonus money would only cost them money.
Money that they would have had to pay him anyway.
But by eating it up right away when the season started they kept the possibility of a potential trade alive and well.
They would have owed him the money anyway so nothing lost there but at least they received a 3rd-rounder for him.
This move was certainly desperate since they sold the house and the kitchen sink in draft capital to make this totally insane Watson trade.
      But was it stupid?
I don't think so at all.
The Bills certainly look like the obvious winners of this trade right now but essentially they are renting a player for 11 games and pay a 3rd rounder for it.
If Amari Cooper balls out and helps taking this offense to new heights and the Bills make a deep playoff run, the 3rd rounder looks like a steal.
But if not or if he gets injured then the winner of this trade is very much debatable since Cooper will be a free agent next season
and won't be resigned by the Bills for the minimum salary.

Baker Mayfield is PROOF the NFL needs to revamp Rookie NFL Qb contracts. Baker was in his 4th yr of his rookie in 2021 and after a major injury I think the thought was Baker was toast plus Baker had treachery against him named O'Dell Beckham Jr. Now if NFL rookie QB contracts instead of 4 option in 5 were 5 with option in six I don't think an immediate trade for Watson would've been as big an idea. Baker took 6 full seasons to become good Sam Darnold finally did in yr 7 fact is these QB are now so immature out of college they don't develop till about yr 5. 4yrs is too short to know whatcha got. there is nothing wrong with watsons CONTRACT............he got 46 mill a year for 5 years, what ppl are talking about is how our GM pushed his cap hits back each year to make room for other players to fit under the cap, thats the only reason its so high, the plan was to extend watson in year 4 or 5 and aleaveate some of that high cap hit and this 3 year spand was to be our window to go for it..
      the only problem was
1 the 6 game suspension that turned into 11 games cuz the nfl wanted to do good PR and our back up could not keep us above 500 the first year, so it was a wash
      2. second year our star RB nick chubb gets hurt in game 2 for the season, then watson gets hurt 1 game later out fro 5 weeks, then 2 of 5 linement get hurt, then watson comes bck win 3 games and gets hurt for the season......... joe fllaco throws 2 back to back pick sixes in the playoffs(dont matter the season was done) and the season was over. so what we have year 3!
      3. year 3 watson is comming off year ending surgery, chubb still wont be back till week 7 , THREE OUT OF FIVE LINEMEN ARE HURT at the start of the season, and 2 more by week 3
back up RB goes down in week4 star Tight end david njoku gets hurt week 3 out for 3 weeks......new OC and new system, new systems clashes with old player caller(the HC kevin stefanski) and the result is a car wreak of WR and qb not knowhing what choice routes to run so they are out of sync, to top it all off
our head coach decided that "we dont need to play any starters in the pre season" only12 out of 44 starters played at any point in the pre season.................
and this is what you get, a team thats not on the same page, back left tackles playing center because both starting and bakc up centers are out, shuffing all olinemen low snaps and false starts and holding galore....................
people like to say its watson becuae they are lazy........is he playing bad? sure............but idk if its cuz he is bad, or the system is bad, or the wr are bad(most drops in the nfl browns wr) the line is bad, or the rb are bad............or all of the above.
the worst part about this year is as of week 6, we have ZERO claratiy on who is bad or what....everything is so bad/ too many players hurt to make any kind of determination, which is why keivn is not switchign qbs.
but ever one is just lazy fucks and say DRRRR WATSON BAD DEEEEEEEEEEER
ppl like to think they are smart, but then they just follow the narrative they are given cuz its easy for them, as a browns fan who watch the cap, players and coaches( the browns have had 3 playoff games since the HC has been here 4 years, kevin has called the plays in 2 and we are 0 and 2, the ONE playoff game we did win was when kevin was out of the game with covid and at his house, and the oc AVP was calling plays the pitts game, so i dnt even know if my HC is a good play caller or not) i understand its not just one player
      or one thing.
i just hope we get a healty team for more than fucking 6 games so we can see ANYTHING

Buffalo needs to get Milano and Oliver back on the field, and they need the offense to put up more points. This doesn't help with the former, but if the O puts up more points it makes the other team have to catch up and makes it easier for the Bills D to do what they were designed to do. The Bills designed their team around getting a lead and then punishing the opposing team for the rest of the game - they're not really designed to duke it out in close, get the last possession and play for the 3 points to win games (especially considering their kicker is a head case this year). This trade for Cooper makes sense given how the team is built this season, because when the Bills don't put up points and can't lean on their running game, they've looked very beatable this year by even teams like the Jets.

No one mentions how Allen has thrown 0 interceptions this year and has 15 TDs. My theory is it's because he doesn't have to force the ball to a diva WR anymore. Now he can be comfortable with who he targets and therefore doesn't have to force the ball.

As a Cowboys fan, glad to see they did not bring Cooper back. He never seemed to have much gas in the tank, and that was two years ago.

People forget how good Cooper is, and his best playing days might be ahead of him with Allen

The wild thing is this has been the easy part of the browns schedule it's a murderers row coming up on the back end they might not win another game all season if tua is back in the penultimate game of the season that's the only other game they have good shot in

As a Browns fan, it's brutal to watch, thank God for redzone. I'm rooting for Baker in Tampa and Coop in Buffalo

You're doing a fantastic job! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?

Cooper just might turn into a player you’d want to have on your fantasy team. He traded his ball delivery system for a major upgrade.

The browns just admitted they ruined their window of opportunity. Obj and Deshaun Cosby trades absolutely screwed the franchise for years to come. You had a great running game, an above average qb, a solid defense, and you found a way to ruin it.

best thing cleveland can do if they have a top 5 pick is trade it away for 1st round picks in later years. They can stock up on other talent and hopefully be in position to get a future qb when watson has 1-2 years left...serves them right btw
