Loving your channel and these d100 dungeon videos. I only bought the pdfs about two weeks ago and I'm hooked. I suffer badly with multiple health problems and this game has already provided some light relief. I've only completed 7 quests and that's including the 5 Training ones, so there's a LOT to still look forward too. I just escaped the last dungeon down to 2 HP and ran out of oil with around 7 hours to go. It was a satisfying uplifting feeling when I made it out and successfully completed the quest. Thanks for your work, it's much appreciated.
there is something very satisfying about it and the new material also makes me want to go back to old characters I played and abandoned to continue to advance them. Like few other games I can think of that aren’t actual TTRPGs you get invested in your character and his/her exploits and development
He's put a lot of work into this and expanded more on the original D100 game, than I thought he would. thank you for the flip through and your thoughts on it.
Yes, he did and I think it's a wonderful direction and way to go as a designer, as I discuss at the end of the vid. Glad you enjoyed the vid and thanks for your comment.
Yes, this add on and some of the others really develop the game nicely. I regret that all the rules aren't available in one place for download (even if purchase). It's a lot to have them spread over supplemental books--but the additional rules such as witchery, crafting, and combat experience really enliven the game.
Glad you enjoyed the vid and IMO even if you just buy and research and read that's playing too--it's engaging with a game design and what's more fun than that?!
That’s the one with the dice pools and matching, yes? That always seemed overly complicated to me. Is there a particular reason you think I’d like it? Does it have unique narrative possibilities?
@@GeekGamers01 it is the dice pool game. I like that you can hash out narratives between larger players like guilds. However, it may lean too heavily on dice as resolution instead of balancing that with narratively developed resolution for your tastes.
I have played the game almost 10x and only did investments once. It's unclear to me whether the designer intends them to be mandatory or not but regardless, it's your game and you are playing solo so you can do what you want.
i do an error, i bougth the book with all the table, but i have not The Lost Tome of Extraordinary Rules... i use the normal v3 book, but i don't understand a lot of new table! for best experience are necessary all book? I'd like new races and new hero path... i'm curious of warlock path!
Thanks for the review! I played the basic game and enjoyed it, some day I’ll plan on picking up the supplements and giving it another go. You mentioned the repetitive encounters (and the new experience mechanic which sounds cool), that was one of my problems with the game. In the beginning you may face giant rats 40% of the time and later in the game as you advance, you may face gold dragons 15% of the time. Here is a fan made table that really made the encounters much more enjoyable for me at low and high level! boardgamegeek.com/thread/2002915/expanded-encounter-table-39-120
Are these standalone volumes or is it best pick up the previous volumes first? Also, I'm curious as to how compatible you think these might be with other systems.
Great question and I should have mentioned that up front. This is NOT a stand-alone book. You need the basic d100 dungeon rules to play. I think you can bring in other elements to this game (as I've showed in some other vids on the game) but I tend to be someone who mixes a lot of things together often.

Sounds like fun and thanks for the comment. These games do provide a nice diversion.
I have been playing the base game, and I plan on owning it all. Love the system. Gets your imagination rolling

Great video again. I have never played d100 dungeon but with this add on it looks pretty neat.

Please no more! I'm spending a fortune on Books, PDF's etc.. I have to start playing more than researching..
Great Vid as usual btw!

I forgot to mention, I wanted to reccomend a book entitled, Reign: Enchiridion.

You don’t have to do the investments? That answers my question! I just don’t want to do them

Unfortunately the designer has not yet put all the rules in one book so to get various rules you need various books

@@GeekGamers01 Thank you.
👍❤️👍
Is this a stand alone book
Apparently not it does not include all of the rules needed to play the game.
No, it's a supplement.
