You kiss the asses of every new "brutal" deathmetal band - after the already existing 5,000 bands of that style - but can´t appreciate ONE band, that tries to re-juvenate the DEATH-sound from 88-92 ?

One thing about Gruesome is that while they write good horror songs, the other emotions are left out. That's why they can never be as good as death. Chuck had emotions in his every word and was able to write a song about basically everything. Gruesome on the other hand seems like a band that lacks creativeness and that just simply doesn't feel the music in the same way. Everyone can write and feel the horror in music, but not everyone can be as diverse as chuck.
Wow Best album of the year so far. But would agree with a Spritual healing cover because we can already tell that Dimensions of Horror's cover is a replication of Scream Bloody Gore, and Savage Land is a replication of Leprosy

The best way to keep Chuck's style alive is to play new music in an own style, that looks to the past but also to the present. Gruesome are in the same time a tribute and a clone band: this fact is not a problem, but, if you want to pay a tribute, so play Death's songs (like during Death to All concerts). In my opinion, reproducing the same notes, the same riffs, the same solos, vocals, drumming and so on is very impressive, but is like a "Frankenstein" operation :D
The sense of this project is Death's copy.... if anybody wants to spend money on it... I don't :) I prefer Obscura as Chuck's heirs, as they have their own style

This isn't nearly as good as Death or Carcass. Necrophagist is the greatest death metal band of all time, period. It's undeniable.
