Adorable squirrels! The woman who helped them is so knowledgeable, and gave them such nice habitats inside and out! What a kind lady! This summer I noticed I only saw one squirrel, I don't know why, where have they all gone? I miss watching them. I have always liked squirrels, I hope they come back. I like to feed them. Here's to all us squirrel lovers! I have had guinea pigs thru the years and I adore them, squirrels remind me of guinea pigs! All creatures great and small the lord god made them all!

They are a joy to watch, too. We've got a lot around my area, and I never get tired of their antics. I swear, they know what a camera is, because when I go out to take photos, they always seem to turn up the charm and give me some amazing shots.

Yeah, I had a ground squirrel I was protecting. Hoping the neighbors wouldn't kill it. Then i saw it had a "friend", then it had a bunch of little "friends". Oops.
Sadly it is only a matter of time as neighbors are already talking about me attracting "vermin" with my bird seeds etc.
I wish they would limit themselves to my yard for their own protection, but they don't, and they love digging holes.

@@pineapplepenumbra I don't understand it either. They cannot bare to share "their property" with anything wild. They were already upset with me for attracting birds (mostly finches) and now this! The horrors to be them.
@@nealm6764 I'm truly baffled by it, animals bring such joy. One of the things I love most when visiting my mom and papa's is all the beautiful wild birds. My sister to has many wild birds and adorable chipmunks that will actually come up on to her lap. When walking in the woods surrounded by wildlife I feel an emotional healing when I'm going through hard times. If someone dislikes having wildlife around then they must have a sad dark life. What a pity. Hang in there, I know the stress of having individuals like that as neighbors.

Squirrels, the ones in our area are very cute. They really don't want to have anything to do with humans, but I've seen them act a LOT like us.
One afternoon I came home and pulled into my underbuilding parking space. There were two squirrels on a pipe above my truck. They were having an arguement. The one stayed pretty much in the same spot. I believe this was the wife. The other one, the husband, was moving back and forth on the pipe from where she was to the end of the pipe by the outside wall/exit. They were having a very strong conversation. Their voices pitch and volume rose and fell. The husband would come back closer and say something, she'd respond, he'd threw up his hands and sometimes stay right their or move towards the exit. She was basically standing with her hands on her hips.
I don't know how long it had been going on when I pulled in, but I can tell you that I watched them for at least half an hour. I don't know what he did, but it was a big deal and she...was...pissed!
I watched them in amazement. I really was surprised how it was going on and on. I don't know if they came to any particular resolve, but they were letting out their feelings.
It totally and completely looked like a human married couple having a heated arguement. Amazing.
I've seen geese do that. You can always tell who the spouses are with the mother-in-law waddling in back of the family. It always amuses me to see that lol.

I had a Squirrel that I befriended at an Airbnb, very tame and behaved like I cat running circles around my legs. I then left that country for a year but went I came back I booked the same Airbnb, within the first few hours the squirrel was sitting next to me again. Couldn't believe he still remembered me after not seeing me for a year
I wish that everyone would live in such harmony with the nature surrounding them .
I always heard people say & sometimes still do hear people say that animals are stupid, squirrel's are just a big tree rat , ect. everyone get's the picture. I know that is the farthest thing from the truth. Most of the animal's would outsmart a lot of people. I also would much rather surround myself w/the wonderful animals that I feed daily for the past 5yrs. and some no their name. Better than some people like I said:) Animals deserve to be treated kindly w/respect.

@@leanin7.3l24 I'm sure she pays attention to them, we only let the dogs in when it's below freezing I reckon. But giving her some pets every day for 5 years when I come through the door from work (she gets mad if I just walk by lol 😆) and working nights when I'm off and everyone else is asleep me 'n her nuzzle noses and she pushes into my hand like a dog er cat while I'm petting her. It's awesome insomnia therapy 👍😃

Beautiful animals and so sweet. I feed about 12 of them on the porch every day as well as 2 opossums. Nature is the only thing that keeps me sane in this insane world.

affectionate
playful
stubborn
fastidiously clean
the great spirit's own children haha
They're the greatest. My first baby squirrel came to me when I was in the midst of deep depression, & that little creature awakened me to the world again, to chance & love, & changed my life. He was a little miracle for me, & helped me as much as I helped him.

I just raised two baby sparrows that fell out of the tree at five days. I raise them for five weeks and the moment they wanted to fly away I let them knowing they still needed to be fed. They came back every day for a month and then one day they were gone. Everybody told me I couldn’t do it and it would be too hard and that they would be too attached to ever leave but nope I was right I was able to do it right

Aloha and Thanksgiving! I woke up at 4am here because of a toothache or the lack of. The VA doesn’t take care of any of us vets dental-wise unless you have a 100% rating. So watching this video this morning brought me so much joy. The last time I saw squirrels was at the National Mall in Washington DC in May of 2019. We don’t have squirrels in Hawaii, closest thing here is the Mongoose, which I see a lot of. Again, Happy Thanksgiving!

We've got a squirrel out the back of my work place. I leave him my apple core everyday and he's out there munching on it nearly everyday. I've named him Cyril
I see more and more videos showing how wild animals truly do respond to humans with love and emotions. So we need to rethink how we in return treat these animals. I dont have the answer but the conversation needs to be had.

We have a few squirrels that live in a tree right off our deck and those lil dudes are so playful and fun. They will chase my dog and try and get him to chase them, which he gladly does, every day. They are really smart and engaging animals.

This is how I feel humans should be. There will be animals. We should get to know them, how to be around them, how to share space with them. I know there is a big thing about "robbing" them of a chance at a "normal" life, that kept pets can become too dependent for wild living, and I see *NONE* of that, here. This is just friendly neighbors.
Everytime I got stressed after back from work..

This was very beautiful and squirrels are highly intelligent some think rodent but they are smart and they do recognize their humans and know who can be trusted. I love her babies and the continuous munching so cute. We have a girl and the best boxes are a good idea so we feel better when we release her.

We raised Buddy and built him an outdoors environment inside, with branches, pine cones, leaves, sticks, etc. We wanted him to be adept at being a squirrel and being acrobatic. After almost a year, we took him outside, where he built his own dray. We put food out for all the squirrels twice a day, and Buddy comes up and takes nuts from our hands, sometime climbing my blue jeans if I haven't noticed him soon enough!! Your video is so lovely and inspiring!! I adore squirrels and your Fabio is a marvelous squirrel.
