Ghost Squad Evolution is a light gun arcade game developed by Sega AM2 published by Sega. It is an updated version of the 2004 game Ghost Squad. It was released for Lindbergh Red hardware in 2007. Improvements over its predecessor include additional weapons, costumes and more difficulty levels.
This is another fun Ligh-Gun game by Sega that was a total blast to play in arcades! The local bowling alley near my college use to have a cabinet of this game and it was always a joy to play this with a buddy in tow every now and then. You got to love the pick and play enjoyment that game from some of this arcade games, combined with the cheesy action-movie themes and voice acting that only made it more enjoyable to play and experience.
The differences between original Ghost Squad and the evolution version include: * Improved hardware. The original GS ran on Chihiro hardware which is the arcade equivalent of the original Xbox, while the Lindbergh Red is based on the Xbox 360. * All 16 difficulty levels for each mission are available instead of unlocking them by successfully completing the missions. * All weapons and costumes are unlocked at the start instead of unlocking them through leveling up.
PSSSH! You missed the danged powerup over the bridge in level 4! LAAAAAME! 🤣 I KID, dude, I kid! That was an epic run. My friend and I used to play this all the time on my wii. The day we ran across the arcade version (of which it was a pixel perfect clone) was an Epic Moment of Triumph in my life.
