Big shoutout to the original producers of all of these songs. Will Carlson did Bilmuri, Cam Becker did Sneakers, Jordan Schmidt did Daphne Blue, Nightly self produced The Movies, and LANY and Mike Crossey did Sugar and Cinnamon. Go check them all out!
I think that first Band Camino example is actually two guitar tones combined that make "the sound." There's definitely a second guitar mixed in that plays a lead/solo lick with a little vibrato (most notably at the end of each phrase. The second part seems a bit less distorted too.)
You should do a video like this in this style, but with building an amp from scratch in Guitar Rig. I really love Knox, Games We Play & 5SOS guitar tones.
P.S.- Also do you have any videos really breaking down understanding what these knobs do and how they change a raw, clean guitar sound? I'd love an in depth video like that. I play guitar, but I'm new to electric and I want to create music that has this dreamy pop/rock sound similar to the Nightly example you have here.
Great work! The daphne blue intro guitar has some sort of a granular/shimmer reverb to it -> I think this would be the perfect usecase for Valhalla supermassive
These are awesome walkthroughs of this kind of stuff. I def feel like that knox tone was probably an AC style amp with how it breaks up. If you like a guitar tone, use what you have to see how close you can get!
the knox sneaker tone is probably not played on the middle pickup but the 4th position (neck and middle on a strat), would probably sound closer with the correct pickup configuration.
Ayy love the guitar content! I mainly use the Tim Henson one but currently have the Morgan Suite on trial. Can't decide whether to get Cory Wong or that one next hahaha. Great video!
If anyone (mostly beginners) is wondering why the tones may still sound slightly off mainly with headphones, is because producers will often double track guitars and pan one take left and one take right. This can give the guitar a very wide sound and is utilized a ton in music of this genre. NOTE: Very important to remember not to over use double tracking, long story short can lead to mix issues. :)
Can you make a video on how to create these guitar “stems” using MIDI? I love the tones of 1975/Knox, but don’t have the guitar skills to record the dry signal.
The videos are always so informative so thank you so much for that. I already learned so much from them. One thing that keeps me from unleashing my creativity is that I am afraid that my music sounds like songs that already exist. Do other people experience this as well and how are you dealing with it? Another question I have lately is that arps or arpeggios are used a lot. What are the rules for using an arp in your music? More specifically are arps copyrighted or does the same thing apply as chord progressions which can’t be copyrighted?
Hey thanks for all the tutorials really helpful. Quick question. I use Apollo x8p. When you go d.i in do print any uad plug ins going in? And what level gain going in I’ve read to get the exact replication of the Neural dsp amps you have to go in with little to no gain? Any unison preamps on guitar going in?
@@MakePopMusicalso where can I contact you for mixing rates I pump out about 40 songs a year I have a guy here in Toronto but always up to try something new.
There is a video in your channel "How To Get The Perfect Pop Drums | Make Pop Music" , Please tell me music , song name used in that , is that released , I really loved those 😭😭❤❤✨✨ So Beautiful
Can you pls make a vidoe about how making a pop song like Artemas (i like the way you kiss me, dirty little secret). 🙏 I will wait from an anser from you until the end of my life! You don't have to stress... 😊😂
Bro why you don't answer. 😢 I just asked for making a video about how making a pop song like Artemas (i like the way you kiss me, dirty little secret). As i said i wait until the end of my life for an answer i was joking. Pls answer. I'm desperate. 😟😣😥😭
@@MakePopMusic pretty sure it’s just called Camino! Should be under plini’s artist presets, give it a go! Yours was great too, gonna have a go at getting the same vibe with the Tim Henson plugin ✌🏻

Will Carlson is a genious - the new Bilmuri album is a masterpiece from a producer standpoint

Definitely think they layered the little G string melody over the main chord riff!
really appreciate this finding decent tone tutorials is difficult!!

I tried it and that didn't feel close on my set up but give it a shot!
Great to see some guitars on your channels . Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) is a awesome free amp sim , killer sounds .
AHHHH LOVE U DUDE, STRAT 4 LYFEEEEE

oh i’m bout to nerd out. tysm for this video
🤓 go crazy
nice video! would love to see a mk.gee guitar tone video!
I was gonna do one but there are already quite a few here on TH-cam that are solid!
Thank you for this! I'm recreating these in my Helix
Thanks for using guitars for a change. The Cory Wong and Tone King are brilliant. The new Morgan Amp Suite is fantastic too.
I use guitars ALL the time on the channel 😂 I love guitar in pop music. I haven’t tried that one yet.
if i remember correctly, The Band CAMINO used a bogner ecstasy and some sort of small portable amp layered together on Tryhard.
Ayy love the guitar content! I mainly use the Tim Henson one but currently have the Morgan Suite on trial. Can't decide whether to get Cory Wong or that one next hahaha. Great video!
Cory Wong is an essential for sure
If you do pop stuff (or anything that needs pretty clean tones) Cory Wong is very useful.
Amazing tutorial
SO EXCITED FOR THIS
IT'S A BANGER
Thanks a lot!

We did a whole guitar midi video a couple months ago 😁
ive been using these videos for my second album.

Just make stuff. If it sounds like other stuff that’s fine. Any melodic element can be copyright but there are infinite options out there
Master!
Question? What is the guitar tuning from the start? Is it DADGAD? Then you do an hole octave down with pitch shift? For bilmuri song
Yep!
Thank you!
Curious if you’ve had a chance to try out the free NAM software? Lot of talk about it these days.
Bro you had me at Bilmuri
Can you do a tutorial of artists like doechii, Rico nasty, or even like doja cat?
Can you make a video about how to make a Coldplay song please?🙏
Love Bilmuri!! Attack Attack forever
The Crab to Hog transformation of papa JAWN is so wild

I always track guitar peaking around -15 to -12 peak. Then I adjust the input gain for Neural to get the tone I want
@@MakePopMusicawesome and no plug ins on the way in eq or anything compression?

Mk.gee tone next ?
Wait I had no idea you could click on that fatso pedal, I only ever twicked the mix knob! How does it affect the sound?
oh nvm I think I figured it out
Yeah the Whammy pedal is crazyyyy
Just forward for pitch up and back for pitch down
@@MakePopMusic yeah thank man I figured it out! A whole new world of possibilites just opened
What guitar strings did you use?
I’m not even sure. I took it to a guitar tech here in town and he hooked it up lol
Why you switched from guitar rigs? 😅 I got Cory Wong well. Only neural dsp I have
Neural just sounds so much better than everything I’ve ever tried
I still use Guitar Rig for super fx heavy tones and atmosphere stuff. But the Neural tones are just soooo good

What’s the preset?
