  • I’m sure you’ve all been there; one minute you’re being peppered with phone calls, the next you’ve being ghosted; you’ve spent your weekend prepping for a presentation, then no one can spare 2 minutes to give you feedback; you’re told one thing about a role, then when you interview you find out it’s completely different.
In this video I’ll explain why these types of recruiters aren’t just hugely frustrating… but they can be seriously damaging to your career.

I can't believe you have so few views. This awesome video hit every nail on the head why I am so aggravated & still struggling to get back to my profession. I have been trying to find the right fit in my field for 10 months now, but these 3rd party staffing agencies that have no clue how to even list the job description, let alone read it out loud over the phone was the last straw for me. Today's 'recruiter' sounded like she was 15 years old and couldn't even read the word 'diagnostic'. It sucks that I can't get transparency or any of my questions answered before they waste 2 more hours of my time on my 'days off'. I have a very unique profession. I am a Cytotechnologist. It is a skilled medical technologist in the area of 'Cytology' a very specialized field in the area of pathology. Please make more videos along these lines. Thank you so much!!

Thanks so much for your feedback. It requires a collective response to demand higher standards from the recruitment profession which so often under-delivers. Let the prospective employers know how their reputations are being tarnished by the agencies they choose to represent them, and they may start investing more in their partners rather than simply opting for those that offer the lowest fees? Good luck with your job search.

I had a recruiter advertised a credit control role and entailed all the reponsibilty however, once i arrived in this new organisation my responsibilty changed from credit controlling to printing 100s of paper each day and mailing it to the customers. So due to my devasting experience i encourage job hunters to tread carefully when dealing with recruiters

Ethical, informative and respectable. Honest Feedback for the video: Transitions inbetween (not the gif stock images) are bad. Requires better quality + background stock audio gets quickly way too annoying.
Wish there were more like you.
Due to the state, honestly turned 'evil' against current state of linkedin recruiters. Make a fake account and just wast time of recruiters who use insidious ('smart') negotiating tactics.
just make a fake account, bypass digital footprint, and fill in software developer + big 4 employee + keyword 'program language' + OpenToWork. And that does it thing and get an account to 500+ connections.
Recruiters sends no details? no Salary range? No location? False intention: how you doing pall, your profile is so interesting and fits just for this random x thing?
Apologies for being in such a role and happy you drive good intention. Sadly... Recruiters are just the absolute worst people who just treat people as objects
