You are saying it correctly. Uraninite is a real mineral rich in uranium and oxidized uranium. It can also contain traces of lead and helium. If it's fairly pure or free from other trace elements, It forms a crystal that is similar (sort of) to a dodecahedron or a 5 sided cube. Dolomite is also a real mineral. It is white but it mostly only contains magnesium, calcium carbonate. Aluminum is found in several mixtures of minerals but bauxite is the most prevalent and accounts for most of industrial refined aluminum. It mostly looks like brown dirt with no crystalline structure. Iridium is where the developers messed up. It's not red at all and actually looks closer to the aluminum crystal in the game. It's either white(ish) to reflective metallic. An interesting thing; because of it's density, iridium was not present in Earth's orbital plane when the Earth formed. Iridium now found on Earth was brought here by meteor impacts long after Earth had formed and cooled. It's great that you are able to upload this vlog from what ever part of the galaxy you are in.... seems 25G is more powerful than the engineers expected.
46:06 How about building another door (and some stairs) on the other side of the starter base? Will make not dying of suffocation alot easier :) Not saying you had a couple of close calls, but.. :P Also, I commented this at the end of last season and will say it again now (only this once, no worries!) but it would be cool to see the challenge level upped a bit on this new planet by installing (useless for the game mechanics) things like a bed and other amenities that a real person would need :D And some proper fenced off elevated multiple room FoB's with more 'roleplay' flair around them, instead of just what is needed for the game. I feel like that would make it slightly harder, but also would fit so well with the storytelling that's going on in each of your seasons. Either way, I am enjoying this season immensely already! Can't wait for the next episode :D
Living life on the edge! Lol The difficult part of beautifying FOBs early game is the severe lack of resources. Later, when you are able to collect the resources needed then you don’t need the FOBs lol
I suppose when you get drones none of it much matters, but labeling storage cabinets using real and imagined chemical notation for most things works for me: Fe (iron), Si, Ti, Mg, Co, Su, Al, Ur, Ir, SA, H2O and so on. Saves many nanoseconds of time! Being able to color the cabinets themselves or the cabinet label background color would be nice.
Good episode. A nice mix of exploration and looting. Hope you can remember where all the caves are! Or now you have the beacon, you could maybe use them to mark the cave locations until you get more familiar with map. Glad you spotted the lava - I think there is some bauxite on the ground up there as well as iridium and sulphur. A whole new cave system too. And you should start seeing some large rounded rocks up there - kind of like big round clams - which you can blow up with the explosives to get the rarer ores. Maybe another ore crusher would be a good idea?
Yes, lots of lava. At some point early on you may realize that the tiny type 1 room heaters you struggled to place can't really be making that much of a difference to the heat factor. But it does and then you remember it's just a game, ha ha.
The spelling of Aluminium in this game should be region-dependant so purists won't be raging at the developers. But I keep forgetting that developers only seem to care about US spellings these days
Second episode! Let's go!!
You knew the tool-petting had to start sometime. And man, those ice caves just go on and on.

They most likely made the change to iridium to match the heaters in the game. The WiFi on this planet is on point!
Just reminding you that putting Dolomite through the ore crusher can give you iron (which you're badly short of).
Yeah I suppose I should! I’m not using it for anything at the moment anyways lol
😂 I don’t remember the tool-petting in Season one. 🤔 Maybe he’s dusting it off? 🤷♀️ Just trying to figure out Why they added that. 😂
Yeah it’s definitely him dusting it off lol. I think they should severely reduce the frequency lol
New challenge unlocked: you can't build any storage bigger than chests. :)
No lol

Sometimes I wish my character wouldn't pet his tools so much too😂😅
Me too. I’m think he’s got a problem lol
It happens so often I'm annoyed enough to turn off the HUD using F2 key from time to time.
Always love how you RP your sentence on these planets hehe. Have you ever played Icarus?
I have not! It was recommended to me by one of my friends though!

I use the elemental symbols in Subnautica lol
Great episode
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!

Luckily I’ve recorded ahead and know a lot of this lol Otherwise that would have spoiled a lot for me lol
@@GReimerGaming yes - I will cut down on the spoilers!
I love you
Feeling the love today lol

I honestly thought it was spelled with the additional “i” in it. I was genuinely surprised to see it not there.
