Despite their troubles when Ritchie was alive, Bob and their mother Connie was Ritchie's biggest supporters. Bob has been true to his brother's memory.
Watching him in this clip makes you realize just how great of a job Esai Morales did in playing him. He sounds and talks just like in the movie. It's pretty crazy how accurately he was portrayed. La Bamba is the realest movie out there that's based on a true story, we can thank Ritchie's family for that. They were very involved in the making of this movie. The movie is pure authenticity, no bullshit.

I believe richie among other Chicano musicians at that time, paved the way other Chicano musicians...and yes. Esai Morales outdid himself, excellent work. He almost stole the movie and outshined richie...
Interviewer: So Ritchey....

Now that I’m fifty I look like Bob Morales.

Funny thing, Bob has the same last name as the actor Esai Morales who played him in the film La Bamba.
Esai and Bob looked like twins when they were younger...
