My first encounter with a hunter in div2, all my friends said I'm in for a treat. I entered a building and ISAC goes "offline", my screen goes static, I barely see anything in the darkness. As I made it up a floor, I noticed an entire office hall, empty with lights flicking then suddenly glass shatters and I see an NPC running faster than anything I've encountered so far, dodging almost all my shots. After I exhausted all my repair kits, he is still at 70% armor. I tried to make a run for and instead I get stuck in a shock trap. He slowly walked up to me, gun drawn in hand, pointed at me and then walked away. Moments later ISAC comes back online. I didn't know Division 2 was a horror game.
Mine was going in a side mission finding a missing agent . I walked in a dark room and then checked out a shadow in the middle of the room and the light suddenly came up revealing a body hanging from the ceiling, a deceased agent , then my screen started getting static and a gold health bar appeared with out ISAC's notification , then my agent got shocked before i could do anything while the shadow approached slowly and left me there a few second later . Now that was truly a hunter
Same!!! But what’s Horrifying Is that I feel like I’m always being watched after that mission, At Night if you Patrol the City, You’ll Find Hunters Hiding on Rooftops Watching you. They aren’t Hostile But are conducting Reconnaissance which is more horrifying to me, Like they know my next move before I even make it. And knowing what they are capable of it’s wonderfully Implemented and have to give credit to that
this was the mission that hooked me on The Division 2 until this day... i know all masks from washington and new york from memory... i have the game in all platforms and played them in all... this game has no equal to this day...
I’m late after realizing this but this is not just specifically hunter music... This’ll play in some missions strongholds etc... I mean if only they played the original Hunter Music from Survival Extraction in the final floor of The Summit...

Team leader: "Ight imma just walk in here and look around." Other guy: "I just teleported to you...wait. Look over here. Why is there just a guy hanging up here?" (we didn't listen to the mission description) Team leader: "Wait wha-HOLY SHIZ I JUST GOT TAZED AND MY SKILLS WON'T WORK I CANT SEE ANYTHING AND I'M TAKING DAMAGE HELP" Other dude: "ME TOO DUDE YOU GODDA GET OVER HERE WE NEED HELP" Me: WAIT WHAT I JUST GOT HERE AND I'M BEING TAZED TOO WHAT IS HAPPENING" The hunter then appeared and started annihilating us, Team leader is hiding and spamming grenades and other friend is spamming skills. I start running at the hunter while screaming and shooting wildly. When they dissapeared, We all took a minute to listen to ISAC talk and then took about five minutes to comprehend what just happened.
Had something similar like this happen to me when the game first came out. So me and gf at the time were duo-ing the story with no issues. We ended picking up this particular mission for a little bonus xp for the next story mission. When we get to the room where the dead agent is at, my gf slowly starts walking to him and told her to wait and that something felt off. Me being a Division 1 Vet and her being new to the series, I knew something didn’t feel right and that whatever’s here is not to be taken lightly. As we wait she asked what I think it is, and I simply replied that the only time I felt this way was when I fought my first Hunter in Division 1 during the Survival DLC and that she should get to cover first. Sure enough once I approached the body, the Hunter shows up, we’re keeping up with each other, and we we’re able to fight the Hunter for a solid 5 minutes before he finally beat us because of a seeker drone and that my gf and I were grouped together
I was playing alone and I guarantee that the experience was very sinister. I had already taken some spoilers on how to spot a Hunter in The Division 2 (the static on the screen, the hissing sound). So, when I entered that room and the hud started showing signs of the presence of one, I was nervous. And when the lights went on revealing that Agent's body and then a Hunter emerged from the smoke, I knew it was for real now haha. Much better the experience alone, in terms of mystery and suspense.

I can't tell you boys how much my heart dropped when I heard Isac say "WARNING, HEAVILY ARMED HOSTILE WITHIN PROXIMITY" (this was my first ever encounter with them)
Ok so I did this one not to long ago. I have not played the Division 1 before, I just started off on the 2nd immediately. No knowledge of anything. But this one fight put me on my feet. I was panicking, I was being overwhelming and at the time I never experienced an enemy actually pushing me and making me think of a escape plan. Until now, I know it was a hunter and wow, what a great mission that was
When I did this bit for some reason the smoke bomb effect didn't play so I was just staring at the hanging dead body and then literally from the darkness this guy just came out and swung his hatchet at me leaving me with 1hp and EMP'd
Still like the Division 1 hunter encounter music better Edit: Damn so that’s how clownish I looked without the watches... Edit 2: Offsite Activities Uniform and Ghost Mask... Thank me later... Edit 3: Offsite Activities Uniform is out of date but it does have short sleeves like some of the hunters with veils and matches perfectly with ghost so you can still use it...
There's now an actual Hunter outfit in the game! and there'll be another one soon. the only thing is the pants dont have proper kneepads and are over the boots, hunters have unique kneepads and wear their boots over their pants.
This fuck definitely brought some trauma in me it was February 2021 or something when the resident evil “event “ was going on and my friends had just gotten off we never played survival on division 1 so when i seen that body i was curious on what the fuck happened to this man then i hear Isac acting up and see the fucker i then proceed to do a ton of damage to him and he shocks me and runs away then i go “Hey who the fuck are you come back here” and that’s how my first encounter with a hunter went

Exactly what my afterthoughts were. Me and my divteam would make up our own theories on their presence in D.C. daily.

When I started to see that HUD glitching around, I instantly knew whats up and was suddenly carefull around every corner.
In D1 survival, these guys are a nightmare if you're not fighting them from a rooftop way across the street with a scoped weapon.
