These were excellent personalities who stood for Ghana and actually put in the work when the opposition was the colonial master. Why hasn’t this spirited fight been carried forward into today’s politician? How did we lose these personality traits? When and where did we go wrong?
first of all, there was no Ghana back then. You had kingdoms and chiefdoms who were ruling themselves and occasionally getting into conflict with each other, most notably the Asantes' making war with its neighbors. Yaa Asantewaa was not fighting for ghana, she was fighting for the Asante Kingdom. Once they had all been subjugated by the colonialists, they saw the wisdom to come together to fight a common enemy. But once the common enemy was no more, they became tribal/ethnocentric again and fought themselves even as they were doing before the colonialists arrived. Ask yourself, if we are independent, why does it seem so difficult to use Twi as a national language? just ask yourself that, then come back and we will discuss further.
So why do you leave George Paa Grant’s name in the founders day celebration. Had not been Paa Grant there would have been a political party in Ghana and also Kwame Nkrumah wouldn’t have come to Ghana to win independence for us.

Why don’t we talk about these very important people in our school right from the nursery to university.
8:39 is Prempeh I. it cannot be Osei Tutu I because there were no cameras during Okomfo Anokye's time. Good job.
Thanks for the history lesson except to point out that Tetteh Quarshie planted the cocoa beans at Mampong Akuapem and not Akropong
OSEI TUTU NOT OSIE TUTU OR I DEY MAD ?
What is yea asantewaa doing over there ? We are talking about people who fought for Ghana as a country not their tribe
