From reading over the lyrics again I think it might be about a failed relationship that was all encompassing where as practically every aspect of her life had something to do with the relationship. It ended badly so she's forced to see everything as deceitful or burned because it didn't last. The rain shouldn't be falling in her eyes because everything is devoid of meaning and time stands still in this world of hers that lacks the person she loved more than anything. Time burns her as she walks through the searing agony of abandonment. What is she supposed to save or reach out for when there's nothing there? She gave everything to this person and feels ashamed, sullied, dirty as she lost her innocence and naivety to have it replaced with a world that's been destroyed by lies she let herself believe. She can't go back but will claw her way forward without that person as bitter as she is as there's nothing else she can do if she wants to protect and save others from her fate of she can. I feel like I night be in the ball park here but what do you guys think?
