This was SOOOOO helpful I am new to the Prem Plus 2 and have been racking my brain with color sort. I will be replaying this video over and over again. Thank You so very much, Merci, Gracias and Danke this was great
OMG.... Thank you so much!!! My mother and I were pulling our hair out with this stupid program. The book said to save under .vp4 but it wasn't working. After watching your video I took a stab in the dark and saved under .vp3. Wouldn't you know, now my designs are showing up on my machine! I want to hug you thank you a million times! P.S. I have a topaz 40 in case anyone is having the same problem
Also I want to say thank you the tip about right clicking on the highlighted portion and editing it was a big deal for me to learn. Previous to that I was remaking the whole thing every time I want to do a change in either different font choice or words I wanted to use. So while yes that was a big deal to learn in this video thank you thank you thank you
Thanks Phil. Really appreciate the clarity that you bring to the software. I have recently purchased the Viking Brilliance 80. Do you know how large a USB can be used with this machine when transferring designs not using the Sewnet?
Lynn - I’ve used a 128 GB. However I would recommend not having to have a lot of files in the root of the stick, because it will have to make thumbnails of all the files.
Hey Phil. Thank you for a great video. Question-when you created this design, did you do each design individually? I am trying to save a file and change a name that I created, but it won't let me choose just the name and not the entire statement. Thanks.
What color are the handles. If they are white, at some point the lettering got changed to stitches. If they are Orange, then the words are part of a group and you can most likely ungroup then edit.
@@PhilCarlton The handles are white. How did I change it to stitches? I did combine the designs as there is an embroidery picture and then the lettering. Is there a way to fix this without having to start all over? Thanks, Phil.
That would do it. You don’t want to Combine in the program if you can help it. When you combine, it turns the smart elements like text into just stitches. Let the combine and colorsorting happen in the Export process. I recommend always saving your uncombined VP 4 file. That’s going be your working file for editing.
Phil, I have a question about the fonts, I have had difficulty with my smaller fonts stitching out correctly, smaller meaning 5mm -10mm like are there fonts that are better for smaller sizes as in making labels for quilts? And any tips on how to get them to stitch out clean
And why is there no phone number anywhere for Premier plus embroidery software? When you pay that kind of money for something you should be able to call them
When you pick fonts, are you making sure you pick them at the listed sizes? Small lettering is just very tricky. 60 weight thread can help. Also, if it is a Satin font, right click on the font and try reducing the density. If you right click and select Satin properties, try setting the density to a 5 or 6. The higher the number the lighter the stitching. That may help.
Use the Export function. You'll watch to browse to your USB stick and save at that point. The file format will vary by machine, but for PFAFF and Viking machines, most will use VP3.
Just stumbled into your channel and I'm watching the videos for two reasons. 1) I need to learn how to use Premier + and 2) You have a pleasant voice!
Thank you so much. I do not enjoy listening to myself talk.

Okay. Next questions-are you using Premier 2+Ultra? I have extra and lots of explanations don’t necessarily follow your instructions.
How do I put it onto my usb to then put it into my machine?
