Blade Liger in this game was so OP, then add the blades onto shield liger was even more OP, really reminded me of waking up early and watching the show
As a kid this game was amazing would stay up all night playing this and sonic adventures 2 I think you can turn off the annoying voices which i think my older brother did because i don't remember them
Yeah, there is a setting for character voice I think. I tolerated it for half the game, but turned it off eventually when I'd had enough. I think it was when Iwas thinking I was going to unlock some bonus parts if I got the Hover Cargo AND kept my fellow Zaber Fang team mate alive in that mission against two Republic Konig Wolves. Kept losing my shit every time he died, until I finally managed to snipe one to basically no health by the time it reached us (using a Proto Zaber with Sniper), and attracted the attention of the other one, placing the hover cargo between us until I was able to total it, then took out the remaining Konig Wolf, with ally still barely alive. Panicked for a bit when I thought the Konig Wolf would suicide itself against the Hover Cargo (technically being run over every time it physically ran into it's side) before I took it down, but things worked out. Result? Absolutely nothing. Same old reward as completing the mission standard, even with a lost ally. That's when I finally referred to the part unlock guide online and found the only difference in Story in terms of what you unlock is whether or not you choose to let an ally help you in some mission. Was a fun challenge though.
This game was legendary! If only there was a way to reduce the repetitive battle chatter 😂 It has its own nostalgia though, I guess. I'd totally buy a remaster. If only 😅
i got into mechwarrior 5 recently because it sorta hits the nostalgia factor of this game. having cool mechs that you can setup their loadouts and bring them into missions to fight enemy mechs. it’s just a great gameplay concept. i really wish zoids would make a gaming return and give us this kind of game with modern graphics and physics. i might buy a gamecube just to start playing this again
Agreed. I nearly passed the game up when I was a kid, but finally got hyped up and bought it at Game Crazy. Liked it my first time through, absolutely loved it when I revisited it that same year. Had nearly every Zoid bought, across the 8 profiles on 2 memory cards, when it eventually got too scratched up to play properly, music was the first to be affected, then I think it either corrupted the memory card or I just left it be because the poor music quality changed the feel of the game.

I was so obsessed with the zoid lol, I remember a kid at school had a mini genobreaker toy and I said ILL BUY IT, and I gave him 5$, he accepted. Im downloadins Zoids season 1,2 and got this game downloaded, gonna download the eng Zoids vs 3 patch iso and relive my childhood!
I'm looking forward to a new zoids online game. Like a battle Royale or team fight in a huge arena using different costumizable zoids. Just not the fuzors type tho.
Maybe if they ever remake the original two Zoids series we can get a remake of this game. I don’t think remakes are totally necessary but they could add things back into the stories that were cut out of the American versions and possibly expand on some backstories. It could be really good if done right.
I love this game but after replaying it with a emulator I can see it has its flaws like awful AI(F*ck Leena), controls went from ok to bad depending of the Zoid you use and some serious balancing issues(Rev Raptor op) but for a game from 2004 it's pretty solid and at least the zoids looked cool which is pretty much what we cared about anyways.
I remember playing with the Rev Raptor. With 3 of those tier 1 sub-part upgrades it was so fast and the scythes were devastating. Definitely one of the most OP Zoids in the game

This needs a remake, with a massive amount of customization and improved gameplay. Could be a great fast paced almost looter shooter.
Zoids needs an RTS. They have a couple of TBS, but an RTS would be fantastic. Hoping to make one as a mod for Rusted Warfare someday.

Download "dolphin" gamecube emulator. Just TH-cam tutorial if you need more help. I think I downloaded the rom from Romsmania.
If you don't have some serious hardware you won't be able to properly emulate this game though. It puts a heavy strain on the gpu.
