      Dear aherezamercy8397, government bonds are long term investments from 2, 3, 5, 7, or 10 years. With government bonds, the investor is paid periodic interest payments called coupon payments. Please visit any branch for further support. ^BM

    What are the criterias of investing in the treasury bonds when in uk but i still have my centenary account.

      Hello @evelynnabbumba2375, to invest in treasury bills and bonds, you are required to be physically present at any of our branches while in the country. The bonds have maturities of 2, 3, 5 and 10 years with minimum investment of 100,000/= and the interest earned is got from maturity value and the cost of the bid which is negotiated and determined at the branch. Application requirements are: Investor’s names, address and full identification documents, Filled in Bond application form and the amount of money to pay for the full bid if successful (should be on account).       Hello Patricia, the interest rate for treasury bills and bonds is determined by Bank of Uganda. We recommend that check the Central Bank website regularly to keep updated with the rates. Regards^JA

      Hello @LillianPretty-k3l, the CSD accounts do not expire. With this arrangement, you can invest in treasury bills and bonds i.e. long term debt instruments issued by the Government through Bank of Uganda for investment to the public issued with maturities of 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years with minimum investment of 100,000/= and the interest earned is got from maturity value and the cost of the bid which is negotiated and determined at the branch. Application requirements are: Investor’s names, address and full identification documents, Filled in Bond application form and the amount of money to pay for the full bid if successful (should be on account).       Fully understood but if I opened and I didn't re invest fir a while or years, does the account expire or is it closed after awhile?! Must I re-apply to get a new acc ?!
