I have not very much understood, but the sentence "And early in the twenties century came the great disillusionment." sounds brand actual. Now, this disillusionment came one hundred years later for this generation.
When was a child, I read the book "The time machine", It was so interesting and a little sad, I believe the girlfriend from the other time died. I remember on the big wheel, where people fell off and no one had noticed or was interested in it.
