Tbh if I was her, I’d put on my best act I ever did in my life. Like all that money is at stake. The only thing that would make it super hard for me would be the creepy shit. And then also acting too drunk, while being half naked in a hot tub screaming for me to come join, over and over, and then proceeding to come and look for me throughout the whole house like that while yelling my name is just so fucking scary. Especially if he would have done that while I was alone instead of with the camera crew in the room. Then having to go to bed alone, while knowing what he seems to be after all the time and already not respecting my “No’s” is just a terrifying experience overall. Especially if you’ve already experienced a guy crossing your boundaries before in the past.
i love this series please dont wait so long to make the next one because I completely forgot about the first episode until you uploaded this lmao youre commentary makes this so much more watchable
This whole convincing your best friend to attend thing is wild. Because if her friend chose not to that friendship is over. You'd beg them to come and if they said no even after the reveal you would never be able to be their friend again. They not only completely went against you, but they also just cost you half a million dollars for doing so.
bruh it's def not that deep. tbh it would be more meaningful if a friend was so worried about you marrying someone not meant for you that they not only told you, but made it incredibly clear that they were against it. a yes-man is not a friend. someone who tells you what you dont want to hear because they genuinely care about your wellbeing is.
@ssnakebbite. complete bologna. If you begged your friend to have your back and do so little as showing up to your wedding and they decide not to, simultaneously costing you half a million it's over babe. If you're telling yourself any less than you're lying to yourself.
@ssnakebbite. I get the whole yes men aren't your best friends concept. But not showing up to your "best friends" wedding is far an beyond voicing your opposition. That's callous disregard for your friends freedom of choice. You aren't a yes-mam for being at your best friends wedding because you don't like their fiance. Lmao you must be a bad friend.
It is indeed a hard task to have this level of intimacy with someone that not only you are not attracted to but act this immature and jerky on purpose to embarrasse and piss you off also that kissing scene where he was so happy about her having to do that with no other choice left was pretty disgusting if you ask me I think the therapist explained it well with the assaultive vibe
She knows that it’s all just a show. He is acting this way to MAKE her quit. It’s ensure all this or you don’t get half a million dollars. She can end this anytime
@@Atrasky I saw a few comments on the first video and apparently a handful of people didn't get the memo that Steve is acting like that on purpose he's part of the challenge for Randy. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else on the show excluding Randy's family and friends are all in on it too.

This is morally very murky. It feels really disgusting. But the fact that she has the possibility to quit anytime... I don't know. She is getting traumatized for money. I don't like it.
Honestly all the unwarranted “sexual advances” is not something that I can excuse even for it being a show. On the other hand you can clearly see that from the beginning she wasn’t into him because of how he looked, she seems so up tight about every little thing he does. Love these videos!! 🫡🫡🫡
Fr she's struggling cos she's so uptight. The sexual advances are kinda messed up but this kind of behaviour was brushed off in the early 2000s as a joke
i mean there's a lot at stake, plus the editing likely made her seem more upset at little things than she was. It also makes sense that if she thinks he is a creep she will be less patient about other smaller things. Idk why everyone is judging her so hard
She’s a Catholic schoolteacher, and didn’t really sign up for all this- she’s very polite, but surely dying , dreading how all this will look to her conservative family and community. And Yes , it was a very different time back then- we had to just grin and bare A LOT. You had to be a “ good sport” so lots of stuff that would be called out these days was just ignored and under the radar.
Honestly, i think it would have been great if he tried in the beginning while they were alone to be “normal” and then once she started introducing him to her family he started be obnoxious… then she really would have had to adjust.
She is not supposed to figure out that he is obnoxious deliberately. So he is obnoxious all the time. That way, she just thinks that that is who he is and she doesn't suspect that he is merely acting.
@@timmyhubart Yes, i merely meant that he could have kept it a little tame, like have some oddity and then start to rev it up as time goes on. In real life, people can be a little reserved at first and then really open up so it wouldn’t have been obvious that he was acting.
All she really had to say was "I can't tell you everything about the show, but I've gotten engaged to someone. He's not what you'd expect, but I just really need you to trust me on this."
I think if she tried that, the TV show would disqualify her on it. The point is she needs to convince them she's marrying that guy as well as them actually approving it (or at least accepting it and attending the ceremony.) Getting them to consider ulterior motives sounds like it breaches that. I mean, before she goes out there, they even tell her she needs to tell the friend that she fell in love.
i think that would probably be against the rules. The producers want the show to be a mess and uncomfortable otherwise it wouldnt be entertaining, so they probably didnt let her say stuff like that
I think they did stipulate that she cant tell anyone that she is not really in love with him. That probably wouldn't prevent her from saying "I just reaaally need you to trust me on this one okay?!?" which might be enough. But actually hinting that aspects of the show are a secret seems like it wouldnt be allowed.

He asked someone a question, then immediately cut her off while she was answering, lol.
Right!? Cody identifies SO Much with the goofball boisterous, I’ve been really feeling for his wife!
I mean it’s an awkward thing to do for sure but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s wrong, it’s not like he suddenly started talking about something else, he just said “fondue” as he was a going for the fondue. Well think about the cameras and camera crew being at the parents house. Wouldn't they be suspicious?
@Samuel-7418 They told them that they met on a reality show and were getting married. So, no, they expected the cameras. Basically told them they met on a Bachelorette type of show and that they were really in love.
Can we please bring 2000s reality TV back but without the sexual harassment and bigotry. They had the craziest reality show ideas back then, modern reality TV really sucks ass compared to its predecessors.
I dont even watch reality tv but Id watch the hell out of some rehashed 2000s show ideas
Oh man! I remember one, it was my favorite, called “Outback Jack”. They brought a bunch of rich girls to the Australian outback to survive and win this hot Aussie’s heart. It was incredibly fun to watch. We need more of that.

Tbh if I was her, I’d put on my best act I ever did in my life. Like all that money is at stake.
The only thing that would make it super hard for me would be the creepy shit. Like, first continuously trying to convince me and push me to look at eachothers bodies while changing after the massage is already weird and annoying.

@meredithjohnson2843 re-read his comment, you didn't understand it and replied with a irrelevant comment that people already know
This whole convincing your best friend to attend thing is wild.

It is indeed a hard task to have this level of intimacy with someone that not only you are not attracted to but act this immature and jerky on purpose to embarrasse and piss you off also that kissing scene where he was so happy about her having to do that with no other choice left was pretty disgusting if you ask me
I think the therapist explained it well with the assaultive vibe
She knows that it’s all just a show. He is acting this way to MAKE her quit. It’s ensure all this or you don’t get half a million dollars. She can end this anytime
@@Atrasky I saw a few comments on the first video and apparently a handful of people didn't get the memo that Steve is acting like that on purpose he's part of the challenge for Randy. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else on the show excluding Randy's family and friends are all in on it too.
@@Atrasky im aware but I still feel uneasy with some of these moments and all the sexual talk they force on her is very disturbing

@@foodislife6505 she agreed to the show, I see nothing being forced on her whatsoever lmao.... It would be forcing if they didn't let her leave, she chose to stay in the sex therapist clip, if it was deeply effecting her she could have walked out..
I don’t think getting payed to have an actor make jokes at you is a “sexual advance”
They casted her correctly because I know I'd be so annoyed by him but would find this challenge easy af tbh because I'm pretty tolerant of people.
The Death Becomes Her style violin music is so over the top, but also perfect

Cody, I’m begging you to post part 3 🙌🏻🙌🏻
re: the fondue, i think what they were reacting to was him being rude by asking a question and IMMEDIATELY interrupting her response with the fondue
“Red flake” should be common vernacular
But actually hinting that aspects of the show are a secret seems like it wouldnt be allowed.
and she did exactly that without outing herself
