Ned Rig Hack ( I Learned This From A Fan) - Flats Class

In this video, I'll be breaking down a new hack that I learned from one of my followers over the past few weeks! Ned Rig fishing is extremely popular this time of year, especially on the Nature Coast. Awesome hacks! When fishing a little dirty water and bigger profile, I like the BMS jerk shrimp in a 3/16oz Texas Eye jig from Zman. Chartreuse eye. Gives a subtle flash but not enough to spook the fish

You can also take a ZMan swimming trout trickz that has lost its paddle tail and use it as a ned rig. It works very well if there is a bit of chartreuse tail attached.

Love these Ned rig tips. I’ve been using a 2” baby shad crappie jig on the 1/10 oz Ned head for redfish and it’s works great.

Pretty clever to cut off the back of the jerk shrimpz. Makes a great little Ned bait I’m sure!

CA-what lb leader are you throwing ned rigs with? When I use them in freshwater I throw them on 8lb Flourocarbon. Also curious if you have used tried the trd crawz in saltwater?

C.A. , Good evening , I have been following a school of sea trout in a area in the Mosquito Lagoon . They have been in a back creek for about 2 weeks now . There is about 15 fish in this school and there all 25in + . I can not get those fish to eat anything ! I've used Ned rigs , swim baits , jerk shadz , even Mirrolures . Last year I found these fish in that same creek and got them to eat Big TRD's rigged weedless . Any suggestions?

Try deadsticking a NED Rig with Pro Cure... don’t move it all. And stay as far away from fish as possible. Use 6lb Power Pro for a super long cast!

C.A. , thank you for the advice . When I got out on the water conditions where completely different today than a week ago . The fish where more aggressive due to water Temps being 6° warmer. I fished for the trout with no luck . The water was gin clear and they where really spooky , I did catch 2 Snook 25in and 27in that where with the school of trout . I also found a school of Reds 50 + fish . Caught them on a Aqua dream spoon .

I would like to invite you too fish the North end of the Lagoon with me . I water is gin clear and the fishing is fantastic right now ! We will use my boat , I have a 16' Skimmer Skiff. I will pole you around the Lagoon and show you my back yard .

It looks like he had a float, he caught that fish on, he caught it on the net rig?
Still I have not caught anything on a ned rig, it doesn’t mean It don’t work I just never caught nothing on it. I started using it this winter and it’s really hard fishing in North Florida.
I do believe it will work though.

Take a good look at zman trd crawz on a bed rig

3.75" streakz with it's head cut off just in front of the small gill line nedrigged works well.....add super glue if need be..

Both of those ought to be pretty killer for flounder, but maybe leaving them longer would be better for flatties.
