    I enjoy this one. Living on the edge of the Rockies myself I find i feel a connection to it. Great to take camping

    I know I’m late, but just looked this whiskey up for reviews. Great review as always sir! I may have to give this a try.

    This was a good but not great whisky for sipping, but the bottle of Stranahan's that I had was really excellent...

    Sippin’ this right now in Philly. Tin Cup is really smooth and enjoyable. 👍🏼 definitely bourbon-esque. Think a lil watered down Jim Beam White Label.

      Fair. It has been a while since this, but I enjoyed it. Cheers!

    Another nice review. Stranahan's is good stuff by the way...I've got a bottle in my cabinet and it's pretty tasty!

      Ethan Thaut thanks! I think I will keep a lookout for Stranahan's now . A couple of people shared today that they enjoy it.

    New to your channel, you broke this down very well :). I just started a whiskey collection 2 weeks ago and this is my 5th addition

    I like this as cocktail base, ie old fashioned or manhattans. It runs in sale ranges in my area

      Emily Chambers sounds like a great use for this!

      Whisky Neighbour thanks! My go to for “simple” whiskey cocktail actually lemon slice, and a bit of the best maraschino cherry I can find. No corn syrup or dye. Stir and enjoy. Easy and covers fact that I rarely get hold of sipping whiskey. Makes tin cup particularly fine. Agreed on bottle. Keep up great reviews

    Just tried this tonight, quite nice, though I'm a just tad bit disappointed mine didn't come with a little tin cup. I always prefer a glencarin or a rocks glass, but it would have been a neat novelty lol.

      The whiskey itself was really good. Nice sweet flavors followed by a bold and intense spiciness which I find quite invigorating. Definately will buy this again in the future.

    John, how is it that I never knew you live in Alberta? I lived there for a year while I studied abroad at Mount Royal College. By the way, the temperature here in Taipei has been hovering around 36°C during the day, with ~86% humidity. The Real-feel temp has been about 41°C. Let's just say, the whisky highball is a recent go-to.

      Daniel Brown Wow! Well as you know we don't see temperatures like that and right now we are in a nice mild place 22oC or so. Just right IMO. How was Mount Royal?

    • @AdelphosHume
      @AdelphosHume 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's in Calgary, so it's not quite Edmonton. I believe the two cities have a bit of a feud, if I remember correctly. Mount Royal wasn't too bad. Since I was studying abroad from a very large college, it was great to have a college where I could get to know the professors, and the range of classes taught by and abilities of those professors blew me away. It's probably why I left my large university for a smaller one (which I stuck with and graduated from) back home where the situation was similar to Mount Royal.

      Daniel Brown cool. Glad you saw it through. What did you graduate in? I am a teacher or now a principal. I enjoyed my University experience quite a bit.

      Whisky Neighbour I was particularly diligent and graduated with a major in anthropology, two claimed minors in sociology and Chinese, and one unclaimed minor in religion/philosophy. I wanted to get as much out of my time as possible, I guess. Were you a willing volunteer for the position of principal or did you and your coworkers draw straws? Maybe we'll just assume it was the former, aye? 😉

    Haven't tried this one yet. After the bad experience with Town Branch, I'm a little wary of Tin Cup. Maybe I'll get around to it, but I'm not stressed if I don't. Fun Fact: In the 2nd season of Marvel's "Jessica Jones" the boozy detective does buy and guzzle Tin Cup, so that happened.

    • @WhiskyNeighbour
      @WhiskyNeighbour  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cool fact! I would agree that this is not a "run out a buy" bottle.
