    Thank you! Most people won’t show dumping their poop. I was wondering how high to fill with coco coir.

    Best review on this toilet, I been using the same for bout 2 years. Only thing I do differently is put the toilet paper in a separate lil garbage can with lid,, I thought there would be odor doing that but no,,,by doing this will extend the empty/Change out of main potty.

    Did your airhead come with a "lid" to replace the top part/seat if you need to transport the bin farther than the few meters you demonstrated?

    I'm deciding between the Airhead Composting or Cinderella incinerator toilet. If I go with the Airhead, I plan on routing the urine down to a grey tank so that should cover both the cons. Thanks for the great review, I'm now leaning more towards the composting Airhead

      Look into Separett 9000 or Separett Tiny. We changed to 9000 from a Cindrella and find it much more convinient.

    Great video! What's in the spray bottle? I heard apple cider vinegar works well, but I'd like to get some more ideas.

    Thanks for the summary, very nice!
    Some quick questions as I'm trying to figure out how to build a bathroom about the Airhead (size, etc).
    1. I think it is the marine (smaller) seat version, is that correct?
    2. What are the dimensions of your shower tray and are you happy with it? Where did you get it?
    3. Do you leave the toilet inside while showering, or do you put it outside to have more room?
    Thank you very much! :)

    • @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459

      Ours is the big version, so it' has a seat close to what you would have on a normal toilet and with the bigger pee containter so i think ors is the biggest Airhead version you can get.
      Dont remeber the exact dimensions of the shower tray sorry ;/ but 70cm wide and ??? long. We got it of VidaXL, dont know if it's just for sweden thou.
      We have tried both leaving the toilet in and taking it out. And taking it out seems to be best cause a lot of water can pool under the toilet so it's best to get everything dry before putting the toilet back in or you'll get that stale smelling water smell.

    • @chblabah
      @chblabah 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459 Thank you! I'll ask Airhead about the dimensions of the seat, not sure if the small one is comfortable at all.
      VidaXL exists here (Austria) too, I guess it's a 70x90 or so...
      My plan is to add a wooden (teak) shower mat, so you or the toilet is not directly standing in the water. The toilet holders could be screwed on the mat then.
      Thanks for the reply!

    Here they are using the toilet as a SEPERATING toilet. No poo are stored in the van for 10 month for composting. When poo is disposed in the trash, no coconut coire or sawdust is needed as no composting takes plase in the toilet and ther is no need for substanse to such up moisture as this is separated out. A more handy toilet which can be handed singlehanded is Separett Tiny from Sweden. Less mechanics. Easier handling as the poo goes directly into the bag. Interchangeable poo containers with lid so you can store it for some days if needed.

      I think we use 30L garbage bags, just cause they are big enough to fit over the bucket so you can just pour it out :)

    How much water did you used in the coconut fibre.?

    • @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459

      Hi! :) We use 1,5 liter, but it’s different for each brand. It should say how much you need on the package. We also let the fiber dry for a day or two after adding the water.

      We use a Separett Tiny. No coconut or sawdust reqired. Simply no nothing extra in the poo bucket, just a plastic bag. Open the top of the toilet, lift out and place a new bag. That’s it.

    I know you said it can go out in the regular garbage. But where do you dispose of your garbage? Is it legal to use a business’s dumpster to get rid of your trash? My husband and I are looking at the everyday living logistics so we know what we’re getting into before we buy.

    • @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459
      @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, I don’t know about the laws in your county, but in Sweden we can use public garbage bins. It’s not allowed to use residential or business dumpsters here. :)

    What happens if you must pee and poop at the same time?

    • @ckeilah
      @ckeilah 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You just aim two shots at once. It's also not the end of the world if a LITTLE pee gets into the poop hole.

  • @MaximC

    They should add an automatic system for emptying, at least the liquid container, a pumping system. Maybe even some sort of an automatic system for solids too (I believe that human ingenuity could do something here).

    Eww empty solids once a month?Gross!! So you literally live with your shit in the van while you cook and eat right next to it.Yuck.🤮 A bucket lined with plastic would be much better,cause you can dispose of the matter immediately.

    • @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459
      @jacobandy-vanlifecouple2459  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s actually not gross at all. The coconut fiber dries it and the fan keep all the air from the toilet away from the rest of the van. A bucket with plastic wouldn’t work for us, but of course one solution can’t fit everyone. You should do what’s best for you. :)
