    I love the delicate ghostly effect. Is fascinating, mysterious, and at the same time elegant. Beautifully well drawn

    I particularly love how the silver tarnishes thus changing the character of the drawing over time.

    Great video. I noticed you have an Ogami sketchbook, these are very good for a portable silver-point solution. The pages are very delicate and are very smooth, no more priming sketchbooks.

    It's interesting. Realism almost looks more real in silverpoint than it does graphite.

    • @dreamwithinadreamfilms
      @dreamwithinadreamfilms 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! Graphite looks flat while silverpoint looks alive. It must just be the way the light reflects off the metal, but it seems to make a big difference.

    Thanks for sharing this fascinating subject. Although preparing the surface for silverpoint metals (during the presentation) was briefly described , there is no mention, during the curriculum review that surface preparation is covered in the course, which would be, I should think , a main interest for potential students.

    would you say that there is a distinct difference between how drawing feels with these different tools as well? compared to silver, the gold also looked like it also glided on smoother. do you notice a difference in line quality for each material also?

    • @DrawingArtAcademy
      @DrawingArtAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The difference is subtle. Gold-point looks grey, a bit lighter than silver-point

    • @DrawingArtAcademy

      Any metal-point would be difficult to erase. Simply use graphite for that purpose

    • @suchendnachwahrheit9143
      @suchendnachwahrheit9143 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DrawingArtAcademy I have one from Cretacolor, that is pretty hard and erases pretty well but I do not know the material. Does not seem to be lead, since it is very hard and I doubt the German regulations would allow the production of these. But I am still interested in the material, because If it was lead, I would not continue to use it.
