I literally just picked one up for 375 here in 2023 and it's in pretty dang good condition. The bore and bolt face doesn't look like it's been shot much, although it's not a clean as yours and the wood is a bit rougher, but no cracks and no real damage. She'll clean up nicely I imagine!!! Couldn't believe I got it for 375 and the shop had 4 boxes of sellier and bellot 196gr soft tip ammo. I am looking forward to hunting with it. I used to have an immaculate 8mm k98 years ago that I sold, because I was being an idiot!!! That rifle was damn accurate and could really stretch it's legs out!!! I used to hunt coyotes outside Kingman and remember my best shot being on a coyote at a dead out run at 235 yards and drilled him dead center!!! At the time I was using the fmj military surplus for that task and that old corrosive ammo was hot stuff!!! I do remember that I'd buy a box of 20 for about 4 dollars!!! Man I miss those days!!! I'm just glad I found this one and the ammo!!!
I was hunting coyotes with this setup, because it was cheap and accurate and the pronghorn needed the reprieve from predation as well as the town of kingman's pet population!!!
Me too. M48 is so expensive in my country around 2900$ because it's so rare in the middle east. I've an issue with the safety. it is stuck in shooting position which is left side and I can't move it to middle or right "lock" side.
@@الحقأبلج-ح9ص have you tried pulling the rear of the cocking piece (this is the plug in the rear of the bolt that pops out when you cock the rifle) back? I think there should be a small diagonal cut underneath it that should allow you to ever so slightly pull it back with a small flathead screwdriver (It will be under spring tension) and then move the safety to the middle position. Then you should be able to strip the bolt completely and figure out what needs to be corrected.
I've got one, load for it too ,very under appreciated cartridge here in the u s
I have a Yugoslavian Mauser 24/47 matching numbers my favourite hunting rifle very accurate

My American friend. You made me so happy.
Local gun shop had one for 520 and it looks in great shape . This video has me pushing to go buy it. Also this would be my first surplus rifle
That’s a beautiful, pristine Mauser! Wow!
My son the Gun Man💖
Holy crap!!! I thought my M48 was in great shape.

A Million thanks for the great videos, I just purchase one it's like new.
Love the Yugo and the 7,92
That's one handsome rifle! Do you have the bayonet too?
Informative 👌
That’s a beautiful rifle. Mine is nice but that one is sick.
Very nice very clean looking
That would make a nice deer rifle
The bent bolt was for the sniper shooters that would have scopes?
No. General use. Snag point when slung is the reasoning iirc.
Seems to be a lot of "RARE" guns around, so stop complaining about those of us who build quality sporters
