This is the first time I watch a vlog of yours, 5 months after you've uploaded it. It feels close as if I'm walking with you, at least to me it feels that way. Your vlog is so infinitely much better than for instance of people like pastor Greg Locke and people vlogging from their car. Thanks to your camera you're perfectly in frame. The first reaction of my brain was the same NotJah Witness had of Tim Minchin singing 'Thank you God' 😂😂. And I recognize the time it takes to come to terms with things that you have to learn to live with. For me it was my brain and mental disability. To this day the health and safety doctor won't declare me completely incapacitated for work, so I have to live on welfare instead of disability benefit (welfare is less in my country). Personal question: is what is wrong with your eyes not operable? If you don't want to answer that's okay. I come from a family of opticians and I just wondered. Many people don't consider operating.
We're a couple of months further, but Sam's eyesight is just the same. Now what am I to conclude? - your faith isn't big enough? - it is inexplicably not in God's will? - God isn't capable of healing? I've done the first two for 48 years and it left me questioning myself and ultimately the truth of the bible. Because, what does God have to gain by not answering most of the pleas for help by his children? Wouldn't it have been a tremendous testimony of his power if people got healed left, right and centre? So I came to conclusion 3 which led me to critically read the bible, word for word from the start. Which I can recommend everybody to do.
Aren't we supposed to get a new heart as soon as we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour? If the healing takes years, which is about similar as without God or Jesus, then why do we need them at all? And I ask you very seriously, because it seems that we are doing the healing ourselves. Or doctors are healing us if possible, and with doctors we can ask which part we want them to heal and they do exactly that. If I ask for a cure for a skin disease the doctor won't operate on my caecum. If I have a broken bone the doctor won't syringe my ear. Then why does God have to heal Sam's heart if he asks God to heal his eyesight?
I may no longer believe in any particular God, but I do hold that the beliefs common concerning the Christian God were not positive effects on my live. So creating videos on the proposed God, to critique the culture and behaviors that belief causes to be expressed, is in no way related to whether or not I believe.
That was really interesting. I wasn’t aware your eyesight was so bad. God doesn’t help with anything like that. Which is exactly the type of thing that had me questioning god’s existence from a young age. God won’t fix your eyesight, hopefully medical science one day can.
If nothing else technology has done a lot to close the gap. For example, my smart phone camera is a daily tool to magnify, or zoom on stuff I can't otherwise see. Science does what God couldn't
So fixed your Mum's eyes but not yours? What a bastard! :P th-cam.com/video/IZeWPScnolo/w-d-xo.html
That might be the best thing on TH-cam I've seen this week ^^
Thank you for posting this. I suffer from TMJ and tinnitus, and was a former christian. Could really relate to this

Great video Sam and well done for sharing. Like the new style
Cheers. Hopefully make some incremental improvements until it's a bit cleaner ^^
After I left Christianity I felt so much more authentic and true to myself and free to be who I am

first he has to heal your heart.... it may not be in the sequence of events we expect

so now you have 6 videos talking about your relationship with a being you say you dont believe in!
